We keep being told that there are certain benefits available for us to claim, like Attendance Allowance and Pension Credit, but then they make near impossible for us to claim these benefits by making the forms so complicated people give up trying and they keep repeating the questions on nearly every second page what,s that all about?I have had 4 assessments so far 2 for when I claimed ESA and 2 for Attendance Allowance and I got another letter last week saying I have to do it all over again they seem to think that our disabilities just go away after a few months, well mine just get worse as I get older, having worked for over 40yrs. in construction you end up with a lot of health issues, but the people doing these assessments don`t see the problems because they are on the inside and they just look at us like we are scroungers,ok that,s my rant over.

If your unable to claim. A A yourself you can get AGE UK. to put the claim in for you. they are experts at filling the forms in so i found when they were successful at getting my A A thats how i managed it. Perhaps there is something your not quite doing right . Give it another go . Good luck. Ron

That's correct, Citizen's Advice have experts who can help you through if you have questions and are a national charity. We also have certified advisers but unfortunately we only have the resources for our local area.
