Hey mate, I'm an old Australian bloke who's been watching a young fella named Taj Farrant for a few years now. He's just started to come into his singing voice and has been playing guitar since he was 7. He's probably already better than most guitar players but not as polished as some. Nevertheless check out some of his stuff just for your own sake, because 😢is definitely going to be at least as good as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore and those type of legends. I enjoy your reactions and wish you all the best in the future, good on you mate 👍

His use of heavy gauge strings makes his playing even more impressive. His guitar tech had to super glue his finger nails back on occasionally. Great player.

Keyboardist is Reese Wynans, currently touring as part of Joe Bonamassa's band. He was originally in the band that later became the Allman Brothers Band.
"Wynans was a member of the Second Coming, which from November, 1968 to March, 1969 included two future and founding members of The Allman Brothers Band: guitarist Dickey Betts and bassist Berry Oakley. Other band members were Dale Betts, Larry Reinhardt, and John Meeks. Wynans was involved in the initial jam session with Duane Allman, Betts, Oakley, Butch Trucks, and Jaimoe that led to the formation of the Allman Brothers Band, but was eased aside in favor of vocalist Gregg Allman, as founder Duane Allman did not want two keyboardists, two guitarists, and two drummers all in the same band".

Everybody is amazed at Stevie. Yes, he is amazing. But if you were around at that time, this was the standard. This is what we were used to. And people didn't appreciate it enough. Stevie was successful, but he didn't sell out huge stadiums. In fact, I saw him in some pretty small venues. Just goes to show that musical taste of the general population runs wide, not everybody digs the same stuff. BTW, SRV is one of my guitar heroes.

This was the very first tune I ever heard from SRV and Double Trouble on MTV way back when. Definitely in my top faves from them. This tune has it all, including the amazing Reese on the keys. His fingers run up n down those keys like a dancing spider. And Stevie's jazzy solo just gets your shoulders swaying. It all looks so effortless to him. You're so right when you said he puts his heart n soul n sweat in music. Just in a class by himself, gives all he's got and then more. As another commenter mentioned, the very end of that number was the beginning of another...so treat yourself to "Couldn't Stand the Weather", Capital Theatre. You'll be glad you did. As always, your SRV reaction is on point. ☮️to all.

I just kinda stumbled upon your channel. It's great and I like your interaction and appreciation. I live in Austin and had the luxury of seeing him live more times than I can count. Before the world knew him. Needless to say he cut his chops in Austin with his brother Jimmy Vaughn. I use to see him at this place called the Rome Inn. If you think he blows you away on a single song. You should watch th video (I have the DVD)
"Stevie Ray Vaughn And Double Trouble Live from Austin, Texas.
The video you just watched of Cold Shot is from that performance.
Stevie absolutely tears it apart over and over. Ever song. It's truly a performance you must see.

Another fun fact Stevie didn’t believe in set lists! They band knew just by Stevie’s little riffs at the beginning what he was going to do! Chris Layton went on to play with the Hendrix Experience Tommy Shannon the bass player is still playing and Reese Wynans on the keys toured with Joe Bonamasso not sure on the spelling another amazing guitar player! Just a little info on how they carried on after Stevie passing away. They all were phenomenal musicians! Stevie’s older brother Jimmie is still playing as well as his nephew great guitar player!
