I only shop Woolies red meats and chicken because they are the best. The chicken skin stay on unlike other chicken brands that integrate even not over cooked. What I also like about Woolies is that most, if not all of their store brands are produced in South Africa...I am happy to pay R50 more for a South African virgin olive oil than those cheap EU versions that are mixed with lord knows what

The Woolworths in SA is different from, and unrelated to the one you had in the US. This one is a local company that's been there for decades, hence it's still in operation. Also unrelated to the Australian one, they just share a name.

Hey family, hope you good abd are still ejoying SA. Just wanted to state that Woolworths food doesn't correctly represent south sfrica prices of food coz the prices thete are mostly twice or three times more the regular price of products. Woolworths food is like a luxury food shorp, but they still sell the same food you'd find snywhere in SA, but its just packaged different and it costs much higher at Woolworths food.
To find nirmal SA food prices, you might need to visit a checkers, pick'n pay or spar or even Shoprite. Shoprote is like the cheapest when it comes to food prices.
