I’m a fan of both (lesser of Cole tho definitely). The album was average at best. Way too many boring uncreative songs with really no highlights in either one. Cole has always been a great rapper, but a terrible artist. I think he’s getting this much hate cuz he faked us out with his 2018-2019 feature run when fell off back into mediocrity

I have always felt like when it comes to J Cole, Fantano always reviewed him in comparison to Kendrick, when they are different artists and their only similarities are their middle names and some of the content of their songs. It is also not lost on me that Fantano recently enjoyed J Cole more at a time when Kendrick was out of the limelight and J Cole was straying further and further from the similar topics he shared with Kendrick in his music. Therefore it isn't surprising to me that the moment this became Kendrick vs Cole again, Fantano is back to hating, but this time even more obviously than ever, cos in the past the comparisons were mostly by fans (and in his head), but now it's front and center.
