Hello, what does "kai" mean?
"Kai" is a Hausa word from the Nothern Part of Nigeria, which is now generally used all over the country as an expression of surprise, displeasure or anger.
The literal meaning of the word is "you".
It's an expression used by Nigerians, to show when something deeply affects them. For instance, someone preached a message that really touched you, they would say.. "Kai! That message was deep!"
Another word similar to it is Oh my!
