Honestly I believe in the core of our group as long as Joe makes adjustments midgame and Jaylen learns to drive left and most importantly we keep our defensive identity and don’t have no mental lapses we can win it all.
I hope they address the need to get front court size - hopefully a young center. I would have liked to here what they’d do with the 35th pick in the draft.
Robert Williams is 25 and missed I think 30 games to start the year. He is the answer. Also Tatum is 6'9". Also gallinarri was out all year. We reload and we are fine.
Dude I don't get the thing with Jaylen, like he was 13th in the league scoring out of 400 guys. That's no small feat, in the playoffs last year it was absolutely Jayson Tatum who fell apart in the Finals and Jaylen Brown was the one who actual was the most consistent. However, with that being said the one thing that did not change with Jaylen Brown was is the TOs. To have 8 TOs in a Game 7 at home? Almost unforgivable but we have to, this kid has tremendous upside and still potential to add to his already amazing talent. You can get better and ball handling and decision making, if we keep Jaylen I have a big feeling he will be working on his dribbling, 3pt shooting and his overall mindset. Jayson has to get surgery on that wrist and fix that shit, Rob will finally be fully healthy and hopefully Brogdon has successful surgery. If everyone can come back fully healthy to start this year and now Joe has a full year under his belt, I do have some confidence this specific team can win it all. I do believe overall depth, bench and star power wise we are the undeniably the best team in the NBA.
If you check last year's playoffs Jaylen was the best player in the Finals and the most consistent so he got the credentials to be called a top 15 player. So he deserves the paycheck, he just needs to really grasp the handles and not force it.

If you gonna keep the team n the coach How do you solve generational problem with 1) Offense getting totally stagnant in close games 2) Leads being given up consistently in 4th with TO galore 3) Solve Zone defense of Miami which has been on for almost 10 years and we have no clue 4) Bring in Body and ball movement consistently , 5) Last but not least, remind JT he needs a FG attempt in 4th quarter if he is the face of the team and not disappear , especially if the games as important as ECF and not one but three games. And i still need my 4K back spent on the Game7 this year and Game 6 NBAF last year lol ;)

I can’t wait to see gallinarri next year. And from the look of injuries it looks like we had no chance to win against Denver even if we won game 7, everyone was banged up and they had 10 days of rest. Hopefully these players better their bodies and come back stronger next year and win it all.
I just need this team to find an identity. Are we a defensive team or a 3pt jump shooting team. We need to build around that. We have a lot of injury prone guys such as Rob and Brogdon. Rob needs a jumpshot no if ands or buts. We can’t count on Horford to save us and being the oldest guy in the locker room. JB got a lot of work especially if we are paying him the mega millions

Agree with the Rob jumpshot but we also need to more aggressive feeding in paint. He need to put some muscle on this offseason. Jaylen definitely needs to work on his ball handling and decision making. Even without the hand injury he’s turnover kill us.

For Brad to have fired Mazzulla today would have been an admission of his own failure as a GM. No way he was going to do that in this press conference! I think the right way to have solved this quagmire would have been to keep Joe as interim throughout the season. Brad could have announced today that Joe would step back into an assistant role, thank Joe for stepping in when needed, and that the front office would commence a real head coach search, which they never had the time to do at the beginning of this past season.Too late now.

We need to keep this team and core and coaching staff together for a number of reasons, you have guys on the team who are first and second All nba and you have a 6th man of the yea and a former defensive player of the year and they are still a very young group, sign jaylen to the max and keep him, don’t do any trades because it could mess up the chemistry and come back to vote you, I definitely see this winning a title in 2 years
This team is and has always been soft since stevens has been involved with the organization. They think they're the warriors. Joe thinks 3pt attempts are the most important stat in basketball. This franchise is doomed. This isnt celtics basketball or culture. No defense or toughness

Brown work on his handles. Robert needs to be more aggressive and shoot the ball while driving. 6-8 points for a center is ridiculous. But other than a few tweaks, this is a championship team.

For a guy who used to be a point guard his team couldn't even beat a zone Defense. The one thing I thought that he did was upgrade the offense but when it came down to it he really didn't this offense in the postseason was actually worse than last year.
Not sure if he is in the category of “best coaches.” He is one dimensional and only cares about chucking up threes. Doesn’t know about ball movement and passing up a good shot for a better shot. And he doesn’t know about cultivating a defensive culture. Maybe he will be better but not sure this is the team to test it with. people fail to understand that Brad and Joe are relatively young and have been with the organization for a while. they understand the beliefs and values system of the franchise and are thinking long term. Joe is going to be a high caliber championship coach, a lot of potential. they are going to consider other factors besides winning it all or not.
No, you fail to understand that brad can't see the big picture, he's too afraid to make tough decisions regarding the core of this team. we've heard this from brad as coach and now as a gm, "being in the mix" isn't enough when you have two so called superstars, he said they were 2nd in offense and defense, no one cares, they got smashed in game 7 and most of the heat series.
Stevens wrecked this team by jumping the gun and dropping the interim tag from a 34 year old coach who was an assistant for 3 years and giving him millions in his contract during the season! They had to keep him with that financial commitment. Look at the quality of coaches that were available had Stephens waited. Nurse, Monty, Doc, Budenholzer. One of those guys would have jumped at the Celtics job! Mazzulla was horrible coaching in the playoffs. He's just a kid learning on the job.

Get a starting big for god's sake. Horford is gonna be 37, and averaged 6.7 ppg on 29% shooting from the 3 in the playoffs while playing 30 minutes per game. Then you've got Rob who's a walking injury and someone who Joe obviously doesn't trust enough to play more 20 mpg in the postseason.

He's right not to overreact. Joe Mazulla got us to game 7 of the ECF and deserves another shot. Jaylen gets better every year. 22-23 was a massive step up. I guarantee he is not satisfied. The organization will decide they can afford him. I just want to see if they play with the effort, poise, and mental discipline required to be a championship contender.

I think Brown is gone. For his basketball career I hope he leaves. Mazzulia is not vey bright. Look he takes the best defensive team in the NBA turns his back on that and says we are going to hang out our hat on 3's. The problem there is not one player on the team that shoots 3's well . Don't believe me check out their shooting percentages. NOT A GOOD ONE ONE THE TEAM. They can score but are not good 3 point shooters. Check out the stats.

He did a horrible job in the playoffs. They don't move without the ball, they have a point guard who rarely have the ball to point the players to spots for easy baskets, they shoot too many 3's and lazy at times on defense.
