    Interesting how they had the bonus wedge covering the yellow 210 space in rounds 2 and 3, and the red 350 space in round 2 as opposed to the red 165 in rounds 2 and 3 and the blue 200 space in round 4 during the '99 season (and early months of 2000). I wonder if they ever had the Bonus covering the red 480 space in round 2

      The bonus was based of the book lord of the rings two tower
      It was actually George bush senior that wanted to implement the idea
      Opposed by most Democrats, but that was always to be expected
      Some blame China , but most see that theory as nothing more than a conspiracy

    I'm sure i've seen Belinda before, i think she was one of the other contestants (probably the carry-over champ) in the episode where a contestant named Paddy won the Surprise and it was the car. Anyway, great to see this episode back up again!

    This looks like the computer touching letter puzzleboard in Wheel of Fortune in the United States of America, but this is the turning letter puzzleboard in Wheel of Fortune in Australia

      A mother nature's killer puzzle, might have been too easy for carryover champ (Belinda O'Brien) playing for the Computer package from Compucon Computers worth $3,999.

      we all know that here in the states that if the powers that be at "Wheel" ever ordered them to switch to that bonus round structure, they would almost definitely be inundated with complaints from really irate players who would probably feel that they basically got screwed over.

    • @codymerryman5605

      @@Wheeloffortunefan999 Well, I do like the idea of this version having the announcer in this case John Deeks explain the prize oncec landed on would be a good thing to have here in the United states, then the rest of the rules would stay the same.

      Filmed in late 1999 for airing in 2000 yes. Managed to work out that this aired on March 7, 2000. Rob Elliott mentions it’s a Tuesday episode, and Ross Symonds mentions in the update the helicopter crash that happened in North Carolina which occurred on March 6 (USA time).

    She finished the game on $6,770 so why does she have $14,035 for the bonus round? They must be adding in the prizes she won after solving each puzzle in the main game, or her totals from the previous nights when she didn't solve the bonus puzzle.

    • @jamesharding322
      @jamesharding322 Před 3 lety +3

      If a contestant remains champion for multiple nights, they add up their winning scores each day until they win the bonus round, if they're the champion again the next night after they've won the bonus round, their amassed scores are set back to "zero" (i.e. what they had the day they won after winning the major prize the night before)
