That's exactly what I felt too when I listened to Andreas' Ave Maria on Classical Radio in Britain. I didn't know who the singer was, but I was struck by the beauty, the feeling and the clarity in this man's voice. I only heard afterward, moved to tears, that it was Andreas!
He had an Angelic voice though even before he lost his sight (slowly from a medical problem of his eyes as a child). He was in a boarding school at the age of 10 years of age when his vision deteriorated to when he lost his eyesight. There is a documentary about his life that I watched; that is how I know this.
So true. Took his sight, but his ears jumped in to compensate and help drive that amazing dulcet voice of his!
@@rjcflorida you’re correct. That’s one of the reasons he can still play the piano. Like Ray Charles, he just feels out the keys and gets right into it. I love when he sits down at the piano for performing “Con Te Partirò”!

@DJ SNAKE Read about Andrea Bocelli on Wikipedia. You'll see that he was older before the world was blessed with his beautiful talents. For one, an operatic voice needs to be seasoned, much like his son Matteo is doing now (we wouldn't necessarily know him at 21 were it not for his father). It takes a long time to perfect this, so it's true that there are many out there being groomed to shine some day. Don't worry 😊
