    If you have any suggestions on how to keep the water warm , please let me know! I was thinking something like a heater and a pump? Would love to find a solution for the next shoot

      When my daughter is playing in the pool, I fill it up with extra warm water thru the hose direct from the bathroom tub, and it stays warm a long time.

      You can warm rocks in the oven (or better yet a fire) and then put them into the pool. That's how primitive people boiled without pots and pans.

      If you are willing to put a little money into warming there are these: www.joolca.com/products/hottap-v2/?product=HOTTAP-Essentials-Kit&gc_id=9660261757&h_ad_id=426223521738&gclid=CjwKCAjwiLGGBhAqEiwAgq3q_gpC_gbrdvEZ-VSGVyIVXyEq3WEUTNM9g0M8LaS2qElQwAo8NXe4qhoCyB8QAvD_BwE Then you always have a hot shower (or hot water filling ability) for the models health and safety!

    You can use a kettle with hot water. Fill up the pool, then add 2-3 kettles with hot water. Make sure to spread it across the pool mostly in the center so the hot water won't touch the plastic when they come out of the kettle.

    Exquisite! You got the water to look perfect, a very nice combination of colors, and such a great idea to use watercolors. That first shot you showed is an absolute masterpiece, but I like them all. I loved it and would love to see more like this. The purple flowers really complimented the colors of the water too, Monet vibes, I wish you could use waterlilies too someday but that would get super expensive haha! I think big flowers like peonies would be beautiful, but one thing that can happen with certain flowers is they can turn over all the time in the water, that happened when I used sunflowers for a shoot like this, but that could be because they were top-heavy, perhaps what you did with the small flowers is exactly the best thing to do. Wonderful, excellent video as always, Irene!

    Awesome shoot. If you have a water heater, you can run a water hose to it and add hot water to the pool, as needed. Don't fill the pool, until the model is in, and add the warm water, as needed. You could also boil water in a large pot, and add it was needed, without burning yourself or the model. :)

    This is a shoot I have also wanted to do for a long time. Thank you for your suggestion of using a much larger, rectangular pool. I will purchase that. I spray painted a kids round pool, but thinking about it, I would just get face shots, which wouldn't be ideal for all the effort that goes into it. I found a bed sheet that was mint, but I loved the idea of getting water paints to make the water a bit more thick and deep in appearance. Great idea there! I bought the lily pads that you seem to have in the video as well. I cannot wait to try that as well. The ladder has been the process that has me a little bit stumped. How high was your ladder? I think finding the right lens so you don't have to get as high might be key as well. The other really challenging aspect is getting yourself centered on the ladder for a really correct face down angle. I have had my ladder over the model, but slightly back, but not to the side like you had. I will have to try to the side. How I get my water warm. I have a sink in my garage that has a faucet with a fitting that you find on your garden hose. Sometimes faucets have a fitting right at the end of them which you unscrew. You can then buy a long enough hose to reach to your pool. Yet, most outdoor faucets are cold. I fill up my kids pool all the time, but I haul buckets of water out of the house. I make one SUPER hot, to make the temperate warm over all. Its a lot of work that way though. You produced fabulous pictures! I would like to incorporate red in some how. I think with the lily pad approach, I might be able to get that color in there. Thank you for the towel Idea. I was going to make a pillow, - I am going to just use that. AWESOME shots!

    Hey Irene, just boil water in the electric water boiler (like for tea you do) and spill in several times... As well we use for the kids' pool our running hot water from the bathroom to fill the kids small pool like yours by using a hose with an adapter connecting the hot water tap.
    Investing in solar panels for water (for pools) maybe out of your budget in case it is not used daily. As well, place insulation panels above the pool so that cold earth will not cool down it so fast.

  • @TomasRamoska
    @TomasRamoska Před 3 lety +1
