  • A short video of master Hu Zhengsheng showing how to apply one of the main techniques of Xinyiba, called the "Mu Ba" or "mother technique".
One can easily see parallels with other Xinyi styles and even with the more recent Xingyi boxing.
You can learn this directly from master Hu and his disciples at our full-time Kung Fu school in China.
Please visit this page for more infos! www.shaolinxinyiba.org/trainin...
Our lineage is that of Wu Gulun (also known as Shi Jiqin) and can be traced back to Ji Long, the founder of Xinyi boxing. Our curriculum is different from the modern ones practiced in Shaolin nowadays - it includes many specific exercises, and emphasizes skills and principles. Much of this is explained in great detail on this channel, and much more educational content is coming soon, so make sure you subscribe, and hit the notification bell so that you don't miss out on anything!

This technique remind me of one of Kenji (manga) technique with the same name, Xinyinba. The different is that the technique in the manga use head, while in here use hand or elbow. I never know that the technique in that series was real.

It's very real indeed, they did some serious research for that manga :) We can use the head for striking as well, depending on the distance and situation. Even when striking with the hand or elbow, strength is partly concentrated at the top of the head (Ling Jin / Leading power)

I'm curious why this technique was never used in the ring by Sanda Fighters. Even Yi Long, somebody who said come from Shaolin never use it. They use Kickboxing method instead. If it's another technique, maybe they can't because of the practical issue. But this technique is practical enough to be used in a fight. Maybe because no body train this technique into practical level?

Because of gloves, these technique most important keypoint is striking palm to head, which is very less effective when you put boxing gloves on.

No elbow strikes are allowed in traditional Sanda matches outside of rare mixed rules matches against Muay Thai. And Palm strikes are not allowed in Sanda,Muay Thai or Boxing, you can only strike with the padded part of the glove not the padded part on the palm area of the glove(which is a stupid rule).
Yi Long is not a real Shaolin monk nor has he trained in Shaolin, dude is just a Sanda fighter with some TMA training that uses "Shaolin" as a marketing ploy according to most Chinese News Outlets. lol

Master Hu prepared Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) in the Game of Thrones!!! Great Master, indeed!

if that were true, Oberyn would've survived till the last season and killed the night king in 1v1.
Unfortunately, they went with the least functional spear techniques ever shown on TV. Shame,... shame,... shame...

I think that Xin yi ba is the strongest style in all of kung Fu it has great defense techniques that can be very effective even in a fight against kick boxers
