That daddy pigeon says are you sure he's mine? Doesn't look a bit like me. Mama says How do you know have you ever seen yourself? That is a great method of raising chicks. Animals, birds are wonderful creatures.

They are Doubling the breeding rate of pigeons. Pigeons can produce like 2 offspring so they put 4 squabs for every Set of parents. The feed that they are given is like slurry so they can produce more milk for the squabs. As a person who bred pigeons, it hurts my heart since they will remember where you live and always comeback when fed and kept safe. ❤

You'd be surprised how far a pigeon hatchling can fall and be un-harmed. It does not look like any die there in this video. It looks terrible with the set up, but does not mean it kills loads of them (agree that there needs to be an upgrade though)

98% of pigeons die in the wild before even maturing. With human intervention, this number would only be around 5%. So, you can love animals and eat the other 93% very easily.
If you're not eating them, why bother spending that much time and resources in saving the other 93%? It's not like pigeon or chicken numbers are dwindling anyway. If anything, in certain areas, pigeons are considered pests due to their numbers.

    • @YaelSharon3410

Pigeons usually lay 2 eggs. By removing the eggs and putting them back once hatched, they put 4 babies with the parent birds,.that way the production is increased.

No, actually the reason behind collecting the eggs from parents is that they will lay eggs again earlier than normal time, a pair will lay eggs again in 10 to 15 days if they have no eggs or babies from previous clutch, normaly a pair breed 5/6 times in a year, (laying eggs / hatching / baby feeding etc..) all these things required minimum 2 months. so that means in 1 year a pair raise around 10-12 pigeons, but if they collect eggs every time like this they will get around 35 to 40 eggs in a year, more eggs means more pigeons 🙂
