Thank you for the walk through! There's a larger book that goes with this called 'Women of Myth' which features this art and longer explanations of the goddesses/beings. The authors of the book have a great podcast too called 'Ancient History Fangirl'.

That's very pretty artwork there! I like, how the images of the goddesses sometimes merge with the other things that surround them, making them part of the element they represent or work with. Nice symbolism. I also like, how intense some of the images are. Often, when it's an all-feminine deck, the art is too soft and "pretty". Not that this one isn't pretty!! It is. But not in this cheesy, cutie kind of way, which I easily get annoyed by. These are strong, powerful images, which is cool. 👍
I'll be happy to hear you talk about these deities in the future, 'cause there are some I've never heart of.
And I loved that little detail of the blue Ishtar gate being in the background of Ishtar's card. I geeked out a bit when I saw that. The actual Ishtar gate of Babylon is set up in the Pergamon museum in Berlin. When I visited it during a school trip when I was 16, I was so impressed by it, and by the fact that I could walk through this ancient gate that had seen so much history, that I had to come back again when I was older, to visit it again with more time at hand. Something about it just left me in awe. Not even sure why exactly. But that's often the case with really, really old things, which have seen so much and soaked up all that energy throughout time, I guess.
Haha, I never preordered something, but congrats to the fun surprise of receiving a gift to yourself you had forgotten about! You can't go wrong with a good oracle deck. 😊

I do appreciate that the imagery isn't soft too! It's a really pretty deck without unnecessarily adding anything. I feel the same way when I go to old places too. In awe of the energy

Kahn is a huge horse in Mulan too. He’s a war horse after all. A very sassy war horse. Or cow according to some travel sized dragons
