I'm pretty impressed that it still looks ok with the room really lit up. The blacks are actually pretty impressive in the dark. When the price in cut in half I'd consider a projection screen like this for the basement.
It seems that the grayish-black screen used really made the biggest difference. It just kind of looked like a normal slightly washed out projection image on the white wall but turned into a high quality LED TV when the screen was applied.

IKEA should make a low, very low, UST projector. Have a Samsung UST projector and it’s on an 8” stand for a 120” screen. B’s wall is so large even 120” screen looks small.

The magic of the cinema. Recording the unboxing. Then adding the empty box footage making it appear as if you can balance a box with a short projector inside on the edge of a screen using one hand . Love the work and thoughtfulness that went into editing this video. Many choice for Ultra short throw projectors and ambient light rejecting screens . Just make sure you do your research for the best solution for your particular situation.

This is probably not related to this review, but I am curious about the speakers you have in the room. I believe these are the Sony HT A9? How are these holding out in the 20' vaulted ceilings that you have? I also see a lot of open and irregular spaces to the side - where your stairs are present. Are you getting a good surround / Atmos effect? Or are you just using these as a 4.1 system?

It's an ALR type projector screen. I own a VAVA ALR screen for my Epson UST projector and it's really good for the price.

Awesome videos - how far back is the unit from the wall and what's the length of the bottom of projector screen to the floor?
It looks great but it's hard to go back after you've experienced proper HDR with FALD.
Unless you haven't programmed it properly, the colour contrast settings are horrible.😕 red is too red green is too green and so on. The projector is massive and is short throw.

Not great. Surprising how good it can still sound it a huge room. Likely to get massive 5.1.2 soon.
And the color volume and the blacks are on oled level 👀🤔
Does this projector gives more heat, temperature in your room? If it is summer, you would get choked.

I just bought the VIVOHOME 120 Inch Projector Screen on Amazon. It's $95 right now and has a great picture.

I've bought two TVs and a video recorder from LG. The video recorder and a TV didn't work outa the box and the other TV broke down in less than a week. The service was lousy suggesting as I didn't have a car I should take my 55" TV to get repaired on the bus. Lots of other problems. Never again.

When u have a regular projector and a screen but u switch 5o the short throw... I can tell u it sucks to have to adjust the projector to an existing mounted on the wall screen
Like if it gets bumped, adjusting the controls is kind of a pain to get back where it was?

How is the image quality compared to the 98-inch TCL?
Tcl brighter for sure but uniformity not great. This is better than the hisense for sure, I made comparison. Also have 98" oled vs this coming next weekend
