Hi all. Welcome back to Recipes By Revathi. Always adding extra pinch of love in each delicacy. Happy Cooking
Today came with a simple പായസം or kheer recipe. It will go with any occasion. It's a temple style Payasam. Very easy to make. Healthy and tasty Sharkara Payasam or Ney Payasam or Ari payasam
Raw rice 1.5 cup
Water to cook rice 3.5 cup
Jaggery 3 cup
To make syrup add 3/4 cup water
Coconut grated 1cup
To squeeze coconut 1cup luke warm water
Salt 1/4tsp
Cardamom powder 1tsp
Ghee 1 tbsp
Coconut pieces 2Tbsp
Kismis 2Tbsp

Just made it following this recipe. It came out extremely good. Thank you so much for sharing such a simple version.
For others who would try:
1. Put very little roasted coconut chips n cashew if u r one of those who doesn't like the crunchy interruptions in every bite.
2. If u prefer a richer, heavier, thicker version, cook the rice in coconut milk instead of water.
