I was looking at touring while this is race track bike. I have confidence in UV that they will come out with an excellent street bike soon, and will definitely go for that.
Impressive review Sarge. The way you are describing the bike.. it seems that ultraviolette is on the right track... And in future we can see an even more refined product from them. Really excited for this.
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial True! But, it lacks the emotional connect with bike, like the engine revving combined with the beautiful sound of the exhaust which puts a smile on face each time we open the throttle. For EV it's like we pay for silence. 🥲
Honestly for the price, the range is actually just not enough. A normal breakfast ride where I live can easily go upto a 100-120km round trip. As we ride on the NH, we ride quite spiritedly. It is disappointing to see that a ₹5 lakh bike can't even do a small ride let alone touring. This is essentially a fast commuter city bike. Ultraviolet would need atleast 120km of range in proper Ballistic mode to even start justifying the price in my opinion. This can be a good 2nd or 3rd bike for someone who is a rich enthusiast, but not for the guy who can buy just one bike.
EVs belong to scooters/cars used in the city where max commuting distance is around 50-60 kms. For enthusiast riding or touring a fuel powered motorcycle/car is always better due to quick access to fuel and the different engine characteristics based on different engine configurations and the resulting exhaust note, which in turn can be amplified with an aftermarket exhaust. I seriously hope the future is not electric and some other form of fuel which can provide similar ease like petrol/diesel.

I think this comparison with ICE bikes is very misleading. I've been riding the F77 since March and with the initial acceleration I have had to really rethink how to compare it. initial acceleration feels like a 900cc bike - just brutal straight off the line.. in terms of mid-speeds comparable to a 500-650 cc .. keeps going even after you think the initial surge is done... and in terms of top-speed.. I'd say a 300-400cc comparison is accurate.. It's really hard to explain, you should take a test ride and try the ballistic mode.

The motorcycle looks promising. The best thing about the E-Motorcycles is that many critical issues can be solved just by an update. But I'm always going to love a petrol engine for the very important reason and that is sound.
I think they could implement ride modes as a gear shifter for left peg and a regen control on right peg to make electrics even more manual and even more depending on the rider. Ultraviolette was my most favourite vehicle in the EV segment. If the base variant would have been 3 lakhs instead of 3.8 lakhs I would have waited and taken it. But I had taken the Tork Kratos R electric bike and it was good. Really missed the Ultraviolette F77. I will try to buy it in future
as they don't have 200km plus range. do you only use them inside cities. coz for bikes are for long rides. then camp if possible at far of destination.
@@sharathvasudev For city purpose only I thought of purchasing it. My daily commute is 54 km. Just for going to office and having fun with that vehicle I thought of purchasing it. That’s it
What's the registration validity of this bike ? How long (years) does the battery last ? What does it cost to replace the battery at the end of its life ? Asking because I am not an influencer, so have to buy and try.
The battery comes with a 5 year warranty extendable to 8 years. After 8 years you only pay for the deteriorated part of the battery which is about 30% when you get a new one. The registration should be similar to a normal ICE bike to the best of my knowledge
Curious to know how many units have sold so far. I can't find the numbers anywhere. Kudos to Ultraviolette however it's such a tough sell. Can't even do your weekend rides of around 100-200 kms. 5+ hrs of charging... 5+ lacs on road.... Lot of WIPs still after so many years. Has Ultraviolette started exporting to US/EU? Cheers Sarge ✌️
You can eek out a 230odd kms range if you follow the recommended watt hour per km. Not sure about the sale numbers. Don't think they are in the US/ Eu yet

Fantastic machine...
Well, when I ride my CBR 650R, people don't notice that a bike is coming towards them because I did not change the exhaust...
I wonder if I was riding this bike...

If money wasn't a concern, this or the livewire?
If money isn't a concern, both!
Great review!! But as a prospective buyer I also want to know your opinion, if I am riding at 100km/h in combat mode how much range would you expect ?!?!Sarge
The better way to look at this is, you will get the recommended range if you ride within the Recommended watt hour /km
Roger that Sarge!
Sagar is always amazing but Ultraviolette fails to excite especially wrt long trips
If you don't mind taking it easy you can easily extract 200+ range

I'm still not convinced on electric bikes. Scooter is fine. But a bike without an engine is like a man without a soul. No big nooooooooooo
Ultraviolette needs to reduce the boot up time n charging time .try to incorporate aerospace grade materials which is lighter n stronger..🙂
I am told they are on it
ultraviolet should bring powerbank that can be carried in your backpack
The prototype was built around swappable batteries but thats complicated
When People ask me why do you still Ride ! Well the Ans is you ! Big FAN love from Bangalore ! Keep the throttle up My Frnd 👍

Hope you can make it happen
as they don't have 200km plus range. do you only use them inside cities. coz for bikes are for long rides. then camp if possible at far of destination.
@@sharathvasudev For city purpose only I thought of purchasing it. My daily commute is 54 km. Just for going to office and having fun with that vehicle I thought of purchasing it. That’s it
@@aravindbhargava1651 hmm. then EVs in current state won't help me. i tour a lot. thanks

@@SagarSheldekarOfficial so if BEVs are eco friendly and ICE/Hybrids are not, why limit regn of BEVs to the same life?

Sir which future bike technology is better - electric or E20?
E20 is just a kind of fuel mate that will be mandated in 2025
Gurujiiiiiiiiiiiii you're great ❤

Are you still going to review iqube st if they release it
Yes
Curious to know how many units have sold so far. I can't find the numbers anywhere.
Kudos to Ultraviolette however it's such a tough sell. Can't even do your weekend rides of around 100-200 kms. 5+ hrs of charging... 5+ lacs on road.... Lot of WIPs still after so many years.
Has Ultraviolette started exporting to US/EU?
Cheers Sarge ✌️
You can eek out a 230odd kms range if you follow the recommended watt hour per km. Not sure about the sale numbers. Don't think they are in the US/ Eu yet
I think a 200 km rage is doable in the F77. Especially when pro rider like you managed to extract 130km while chasing the maximum performance.
For sure
