You certainly know how to capture and tell a story from video. 🙌🙌Have you had any previous training in film making? Japan seems to be a perfect growing environment for growing. When I’m visiting my family and I see oranges growing in gardens you know it’s good. 👏well done for the latest update.

i agree to all the above. you have a very slow pase to your videos which is nice compares to the general conent on the plat form. your colors all seemed kind of faded and yellowed and vintage when you film. kinda has a 70s faded film vibe. it suits your "country life slow pace" messaging to your videos. its nice to just enjoy the mundane.

Such a beautiful, peaceful, simple life. The world has strayed so far from this, and we are not better for it. You have chosen the best way, and, as time goes by, you will begin to reap all the rewards -- mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual -- that come from disengaging from the toxicity of modern living. Good for you.

  • @kingofaikido

Hey, thanks. I cry for joy at your videos..! You make life livable again. Simple things, everyday things, are approached with a child's eye. Like seeing, feeling, tasting things for the first time. I wrote a book on how Japanese culture is expert at noticing little things, such as you are documenting. We, in the West, tend to love all things big, which is why I'll always be the odd man out. I wish I was in Japan, especially somewhere in the countryside... It was nice to hear your talking voice for the first time and your jokes in Nihongo. Thank you for letting us eavesdrop on your learnings and on the beauty of your surroundings. We see things similarly, I think. It's just that you're documenting whereas I'm not, although I do try with poems. I never thought the cameras could convey poetry. Clearly, it can. .

@@bitsii for making a village tour without much people, perhaps you could walk around dead at night or early morning. So that there are less people around. You can carry a ‘chochin’ lantern around, like in olden Japanese days. The soft glow, the quiet streets, the old houses, in an unhurried pace. Paired with captions of your musings and random thoughts, it’d be such a lovely video for your channel.

Have u noticed crickets? Japan has many varieties of cricket, and in the 19th century (and before) u could buy them very cheap from a mobile vendor. People bought them for the unique chirp if each different variety... I have a late 19th century description of a neighbor of the author, who had crickets that sounded according to the weather. He said one with a very high tinkling sound made the air seem cooler in hot summer evenings, and how peaceful it was to sit quietly by his garden and hear the cricket in the background.
I've tried in vain to find crickets of this kindnin the US, but they are sold only as zoo animal food here... :(
