Coming from a small company that didn’t have as many promotional opportunities and media relationships, their success was slow and organic. But boy did they make up for lost time though. I’m really proud of BTS for how far they’ve come and for never giving up even when they faced so many struggles and hate.
SM did EXO dirty but let's face it SM is handling a lot of groups while Bighit handles about two but more on promoting one at the time so comebacks may be pushed through elsewhere and yeah I was still baffled how SM did let EXO die down after Monster era.
It's unfortunate but sm is a mega company with lots of groups to take care of... their producers can't make enough songs for everybody to come back at once :/

Eventhough SM has a lot of groups to handle, but they have so much resources or money to be use to promote EXO.. and also SM has a lot of producers and composers...and BigHit is struggling for bankcrupcy that's why Bang Si Hyuk gamble for BTS only..i remember during HYYH album, they use their managers and staffs as actors on their MVs and using their own cars too....good thing about BigHit is they treat their artists like humans..and let BTS write and produce their songs..for example in MOTS:7 , almost all of the 20 songs are gone through RM's hands....so sad SM neglected EXO..instead and giving them comebacks, they debuted new groups..

Yes, thats what I have always been saying. Because of dope they became worlwide known. I remember fine bros reacting to kpop and one of the videos was dope and everybody got hooked on it. Soon a lot of reactors started reacting to bts bcs people requested it since BTS music and music videos were the best introduction to kpop. They always had the wider appeal.

I'm so proud, OMG. I'm an EXO-L ever since 2012, and I witnessed the debut, struggles and progress of both groups. I can say that they both worked hard in their own paths and faced their own challenges. EXO had gone through member departures, mistreatment, being called SM's flop, dating issues, child and marriage news, military enlisments, being cheated upon, near zero promotion, etc. BTS had climbed the ladder of success with too much bandwagon hate and criticisms, upcoming military services, constantly being compared and called 'talentless' regardless of how much they prove, and more. I might never consider myself as an Army but my gratitude and respect goes not only to EXO and EXO-L but to BTS and Armys as well, we've both gone through so much and now as EXO's juniors, I'm glad that BTS are making their way to their own star. Before them, CZcams views weren't really given much attention in Kpop, (even now, I'd say since EXO-Ls and other older fandoms really don't spend much time streaming MVs unless occasionally and it's mostly for music and entertainment or just missing the members but not really to reach certain records -v-|| ) but now I'm glad your fandom can prove that Kpop can also take over the internet. May we all continue to support these wonderful artists, and may they both reach all their dreams they worked so hard for! ♡

EXO ruled for a few years. Even over Big Bang. & both of those groups are legends in Kpop in their own way. Different takes on music. Then BTS came along & after mid 2016 the rise to top changed. Now BTS rules. Big Bang got into door of western music scene but didn't tobble the barriers that were erected. EXO tried but did not succeed & fell short of what Big Bang did. BUT they took over Asian music world. Then along came BTS & the broke the barriers and now Kpop is rising in western market. BTS reign right now. All 3 groups are legends .. just in different ways. All should be given recognition for their input to Kpop to help it become the mass concept it has become. ** footnote there are girl groups that are making themselves known on world level also. I'm an EXO-L ever since 2012, and I witnessed the debut, struggles and progress of both groups. I can say that they both worked hard in their own paths and faced their own challenges.
EXO had gone through member departures, mistreatment, being called SM's flop, dating issues, child and marriage news, military enlisments, being cheated upon, near zero promotion, etc.
BTS had climbed the ladder of success with too much bandwagon hate and criticisms, upcoming military services, constantly being compared and called 'talentless' regardless of how much they prove, and more.
I might never consider myself as an Army but my gratitude and respect goes not only to EXO and EXO-L but to BTS and Armys as well, we've both gone through so much and now as EXO's juniors, I'm glad that BTS are making their way to their own star.
Before them, CZcams views weren't really given much attention in Kpop, (even now, I'd say since EXO-Ls and other older fandoms really don't spend much time streaming MVs unless occasionally and it's mostly for music and entertainment or just missing the members but not really to reach certain records -v-|| ) but now I'm glad your fandom can prove that Kpop can also take over the internet.

EXO ruled for a few years. Even over Big Bang. & both of those groups are legends in Kpop in their own way. Different takes on music.
Then BTS came along & after mid 2016 the rise to top changed. Now BTS rules.
Big Bang got into door of western music scene but didn't tobble the barriers that were erected.
EXO tried but did not succeed & fell short of what Big Bang did. BUT they took over Asian music world.
Then along came BTS & the broke the barriers and now Kpop is rising in western market. BTS reign right now.
All 3 groups are legends .. just in different ways.
All should be given recognition for their input to Kpop to help it become the mass concept it has become.
** footnote there are girl groups that are making themselves known on world level also.
Bottom line Kpop on the rise due to these extraodinary groups.
Appreciate them people. Stop fan wars & get behind Kpop instead.
