- The full name of this temple is Wat Thetthammanawa. Located in the area under the supervision of the Forest Department. with permission To be established as Buddhism and Forestry Demonstration Center Under the supervision of Wat Prachathikaram In the past, the area around this temple used to be a forest area, filled with pine forests and various types of tropical trees. Therefore it is called "Pa Tha Sai". Moreover, this place It had also been a "cemetery" before. arising from the past This Tha Sai forest Local residents and surrounding areas When someone died, the body would be taken by boat to be cremated or buried in this "Tha Sai Forest". which the villagers called "Ao Reo" or the waterhole in the cemetery. Later, Phra Achan Winai Rattanavanno, a disciple of Luang Pu Thet Thesrangsi, restored the area and built a teak church at Wat Tha Sai. It is constructed in the style of a Thai-style building, modeled after the Ubosot of Phra Aranyawasi, Tha Bo District, Nong Khai Province, applied to build with golden teak wood. The nave of the church was carved by Chiang Mai craftsmen. The outstanding Buddhist art is the window panes, which are carved with the most beautiful traditional Thai patterns. When you open the window, you will see the seashore. Inside the teak church There is a wall with a cover. There is a Buddha pedestal. The Buddha image in the posture of giving the first sermon is enshrined, carved from white jade stone, Indian art.

Beautiful Temple and surroundings.. truely magnificent! The woodwork is amazing... reminds me on the first time i went to thailand and saw the Giant Wooden Temple near Pattaya. Thx that you took the time for us to film and report. Keep up the good work!

Nice video doc. Incredible beach and impressive temple. Having spent so much time in Thailand will you consider converting to Buddhism or you only find it like a "way of living" such as Confucianism? Cheers
Hey Matt to be honest I'm far more Buddhist than anything else ....
Every day that I've been Thailand I wake up in the morning I head down I get my blessings from my monk......
there are a lot of aspects I love about Buddhism and a few that injusybcouslrn adopt lol.....
Tonme it is close to a way of life, for me anyways....
But by the same token so could Christianity be if followers were actually like Christians claim to be...

Looks newer but more traditional design. Not absurdly gaudy like some photos I've seen of newer temples. Btw, the huts are probably for retreats. My gf likes to stay at a temple with a sibling for at least 1 week each year.
Hey John yeah this design is the one that I prefer,,,, yes some of the opulent ones can be beautiful, but this, this is what I love the modesty....
As it turns out the guys used to be used by the monks years ago ...
They have much nicer accommodations now.
