- The beauty of most of these books is that they all have sounds that retrigger and a number of them have a nice 2.2k ohm resistor and adjoining capacitor that can be manipulated to change the pitch playback of the sounds.

I have a couple of sound strips from books, I use them stock as-is.
Great sound fx…..I have only bent one and sold it to Circuit Ben (UK).
I hope the object comes together, I was going to ask if you are making a gigantic sound fx controller?
I do have one finished controller that I will show in a second part, it utilizes 7 and 10 sound ones. That is primarily what I play in BOINGdweeby, along with some other miscellaneous devices. It is the yellow box with all the knobs- essentially it has a 556 that has two oscillators for triggering plus a quad nand gate that supplies reverse logic for some of the LEDS (on when pulse 556 output is negative) and as 2 LFOs for pitch vactrols. It is surprisingly reliable for such an amateur concept for a circuit. I plan to replicate it but with some adjustments for use with the 4 sound titles and for a more complex control deck for the 7 and 10 sound circuits I have prepared. I'll explain that deck in a follow up video.
I have the suspicion that I may have come across videos of it or something similar before but really who knows 😂
