When I first watched this, I didn’t understand what she meant by only an incapable woman deals with the home wrecker. I finally realised what she means now. If the husband hadn’t had the audacity to have the affair, there’d be no home wrecker. It was his vow to remain faithful, but then he broke it. She was capable enough to see the problem lied with her husband, her marriage. A brave woman to face that fact and deal with the fall out within her family without involving the outsider who ruined it. I think it was truly disgusting that the home wrecker had the audacity to play psychological games with a CHILD! She is a home wrecker because she ruined someone’s marriage, but she is a sociopath when she fails to see her wrongs with harming a child mentally.
I love what the soon to be ex-wife did. She cancelled the lease on the mistress apartment, gave her 3 days to leave, but it was the slap that she gave her. That slap woke her all the way up.

I could really appreciate the character of the soon-to-be ex-wife in this scene because she shows how efficient she really could be if she wanted to deal with the mistress in the first place. In a way, she was merciful because she could have told her that the lease was cancelled with immediate effect and she had to leave, but she didn't. She gave her three days to find different accommodation that was not associated with her husband or family.
When he said this to his mother, it rocked me. That line alone comes from great observation of children from the and present. He has a good instinct of how to keep the family together. Now it is up to the father to get his mind together and realize his wife is in his corner.
One day, when the kid's older, he will regret saying this to his mom. When he understand the whole situation, he will want his mom to leave his dad, leave the toxic relationship, find her happiness.. Staying in that kind of relationship is kind a hell for his mom..
it touched me too but if the marriage is beyond saving I'd rather leave than my son seeing the ugliness of it. the child will grow up and they will understand rather than them growing up in a toxic family.

She has her own business, takes care of her own house and son, carries herself with confidence and self love with the support of her best friends, yet still manages to be the problem solver of her husband’s own company and is a bad boss b****. Wisdom, self determination, confidence… she’s truly an amazing example of an independent woman. She clearly doesn’t need a husband to live on with her life. Unlike Ling You You who is a leech and a homewrecker. She manipulates Huan Shan, becomes very shameless to the point of going into their home and spending time with Gu Jia’s son, and makes it very clear to Gu Jia that she’s the mistress, yet denies that what she did was wrong. Deep down she knows she’s not even close to being an equal to Gu Jia. She can’t win. And even when they do actually get divorced, she doesn’t get Xu Huan Shan in the end. That’s what she gets for knowingly getting in between a family.
I just love the fact that the mistress loses in the end, usually they end up with the cheating husband. Would have been great if they had shown the mistress reaction when she knows that not only she doesn't get that jerk husband but she also caused him to go jail

If i remember correctly, the husband started cheating because his ego could not handle that she was waaayyy more capaple than him. He was not capable enough, honest enough and strong enough to handle that situation. And the mistress was the ego booster that pampered his sad excuse of masculinity.
