That's where the role of diversified portfolio comes in, If 1 theme doesn't work other one will, be it today or 10 years from now. People don't want to make decisions on their portfolio levels, Nor do they create a balanced portfolio 90% are buying in fomo, Yes they could easily make short term gains and very high chances of them getting trapped in the long run. Actually a lot of sectorial funds have given more than 18-20% CAGR for 10 plus years. It sounds surprising but this happens as they have about 20-25% allowance for buying other stocks.
Eg Nippon Pharma, Many IT funds etc.

Inspite of both DII and FII sold today, then also NiftyBank went up? The top 3 Pvt Banks are bought by big DIIs and FIIs only. I think the FIIs have bougbt today, Stockedge seem to be showing 1.1k Cr. worth of FII buying.
