But the cover wouldn't sit flush, so instead of trying to hide the bolts he made it look good. I'm about to do the same to my 86 Bronco. Need to haul my bike when we go camping.
How much are you towing ? I have a 1992 Ford F-150 5.0 and I wanna add a small trailer hitch but don’t know much can do it with just the ball hitch like the one I have on ur truck the silver ball or would I need what u put on ur truck that pull hitch thank you nice video
thanks Jack! I have three trailers, I like to run them level. one needs a low 2"ball, another needs a high 1 7/8"ball, the other needs a 1 7/8"ball somewhere in between. I really do switch them out alot. the receiver is just more versatile and sets the trailer back a bit. peace n good luck!
@@fred3370 a month ago I used my 8x5 to haul 1,740lbs of old wood fencing 20mi to the landfill without giving it a thought. just minimize the tongue weight by centering most of the load over the axle, excessive tongue weight could possibly cause an undesirable adjustment to the bumper, doubt it will come off though. lol
grade 8 bolts, nuts n lock washers. for the 3" stretch that I think you are thinking about, best go with 3/4" thick. best of luck, be sure to make it all one.
Electric drill. Old school. Showin your age ol man. Good vid. Enjoyed.
Rocking with accessories😂❤
Excellent idea 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I'm just surprised you kept the ball on the bumper while installing this. Neat though.
You did not need to drill through the river on top of the step bumper it comes off and goes back on to cover the bolt head

So there’s no problem with the bumper coming off? I wanna get one but a small one 5x4 to haul mulch etc at least put 1.5 tons on it ?
