I've used these for about 4 or 5 carp sessions so far and the batteries are still going.

Sonik all take triple A and are amazing alarms. The batteries you are putting in those are double A.
I've had the SKS & SKX range and I cannot fault them through rain, sun and frost.
I'd definitely have these than prologic but thanks for the video

I haven't used Sonik Bite Alarms before so thanks for the info. I just checked and these Prologic Bat Commander Bite Alarms definitely take triple A batteries (AAA) not double A.

I had these years back with a receiver they are bulletproof mate if all you want and need is a bite alarm most just use them are screaming run detectors now days i uave nash r3 now best going imo there is some videos on CZcams of nash alarms getting taped to a firework and it still works when it hits the floor

That's reassuring to know. Yea I just need a couple of simple alarms that are reliable. So far so good. Cheers 👍🏻

@PhillWyattFishing they will last years mate best cheap alarms the receiver comes with a rubber case that glows in the dark you should invest in a receiver mate

@@aarondavies8486 thanks for the suggestions mate 👍🏻 I was thinking of getting a set with the receiver although I don't do night fishing very often so wasn't sure.

@PhillWyattFishing it is a handy thing to have even in the day I use mine to hide if I have a bite alarms on silent so when I get a bite am the only one to know

Get yourself some sonik xtractor rods far better than what your using with them tiny eyes on

I'll have a look into them. I use these ones for short distances. I like them because they're fairly soft so good for smaller carp.

@PhillWyattFishing yeah the sonik xtractor are a soft rod and pack down real small 9ft to 44 inch but I know prologic do a retractable rod that matches the alarms you have they are black and green I think I might have to get some trade in my xtractor rods
