Great video. I've been thinking about getting an Old Town Saranac for the family. So, it's nice to see it in action in Louisiana waters. I've been exploring fishing with my 4-year-old in our Chapman pirogue lately. Even took him out to do some jug lining it. Think that might even be my next video next week. Keep up the great work! Me and my dad fish that area all the time with the fly rods. Gonna get on em good here soon. We do really good in bayou lacombe every year. Always do good in the pearl for them goggleeyes when the waters good too
Measure from the center of the hitch to the center of your axle spindle and square it up. Might have to loosen the spring shackles up to adjust it a touch, but a couple hours of time is WAY cheaper than another trailer.
Not a bad idea if you're going farther. Built a few trailers and have had to replace spindles before. Glad you're wheel didn't come off and then it would've been a very different video. Love the content.

Nice lil trip for a plan B! We rarely fish Bayou Lacombe for perch, but usually do well on the Pearl when the water gets right. mostly goggleyes and some BG's mixed in. Where do you travel from to hit up Bayou Lacombe?

I went ahead and bought a new trailer. I bought one with much bigger wheels so I don’t have to worry so much going on long trips.
