Good morning Gayle! The masterboards turned out great! I was planting flowers and herbs today. Mostly in pots for the deck off my bedroom. I like to really do it up in the summer with a rug and sheer curtains, lots of flowers, chimes and lights. The perfect place to sit in the evenings.♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I love how hardy Tulips are here in MT the color variations are absolutely beautiful too. I used to have my sidewalk at my old house lined with them and around my front fence. Also mums are so wonderful in my opinion. Have a great time planting!!! ❤❤

I love to watch you create master boards...it is so relaxing to watch and visit with you! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for the shout out for paper at Red River and that you print on copy paper, as well. You answered every question that I have had. I almost ordered the Red River Matte Photo paper the other day and decided to try to research what paper everybody was using. Now, I will order it through your affiliate link in a week or so. Also, I was wondering if I was the only one that appreciated a little softer more muted print outs (more vintage) sometimes on copy paper. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!

Good afternoon Gayle! Well this was my 3rd watch for today. I fell asleep for the other 2 😂 I love Scrappy Saturday and I love watching you collage. You made a bunch of really nice masterboards. I hope all of your flowers are snug in their beds 😊 I've had to pare down my gardening to just house plants. I put them all out on my screened in back porch for the summer. It's a really nice spot for me and my Ellie girl to relax in the morning and evening. I love it out there during thunderstorms too. Well I'm headed down to my craft room for the afternoon. Take care. Good morning Gayle! ❤ I woke up insanely early and spent a couple of hours (yes, hours) while having coffee arguing with my 2 printers while trying to successfully print just a few digi kit pages. Reminded me of why I stopped trying to use digi kits years ago. 😂 My patience is gone. 😁 Relaxing now, cat on my lap, watching college baseball on TV and Gayle on iPad. May fussy cut later. Watching you find, tear and glue down papers is a very calming way to spend an hour.
I love dianthus. I have them in the walk way leading to the front door. They are so happy and return year after year. Because I’m a couple of hundred mile south of you in Kansas, our last frost date always falls on Mother’s Day. Most of our plants need to be in the ground by the middle of the month before the hot dry weather sets in. Now, except for filling a few holes in the borders, it’s just watering and weeding.

Hugs Gayle Weather finally got warm enough to plant my annuals, dukes, and bell peppers. The perennials are doing great but did lose a couple due to the subzero weather we got this last winter. So much fun watching you collage. ❤❤❤

Good morning Gayle and friends! I’m waiting out a storm so am thankful for the distraction! You make collage look so easy! I struggle. Maybe I need to be cutting my scraps into rectangles? OH shopping at the creative reuse store was interesting. I had it in my head it was a much bigger store, but 1/3 was reserved for teachers, 1/3 was where they were taking donations. And many things on my list the buckets to hold them were nearly empty. However, good prices. I picked up pre 1980 sewing patterns for $1, still in the package bias tape (originally 10 cents - you know I’ll be using the label in a journal!), some vintage postcards, “fat quarters” that look like just some fabrics someone thought would go together and appear to be much larger than pieces in a traditional fat quarter! Hubby had a great time rounding up some marbles! Don’t let him fool ya, he is still a few marbles short! A lady stopped me and asked where I found my canvas bag (it says “totes my goats”) so I told her the goat store. She replied “oh, you didn’t find it here?”….. ummmm nope! 😂 enjoy the weekend YT crew! Blessings to each and everyone of you. May you encounter lots of kind people.

Hi Gayle, I love your collage masterboards and they are my go to make when I’m tired or all out of mojo. Just a suggestion, but you could make a whole eclectic journal with all your paper scraps, packaging etc. A little challenge for you? I see we have another sad loss in our crafting community with the passing of the lovely Rhonda without an H. As a survivor of breast cancer it touched me deeply. So sad. 😢 x

Dianthus are my favorite. I think they are related to sweet William also. I planted mine last year from seed and they came up and bloomed this year.
I absolutely love dianthus. That and sweet William. My mother gave me a dark red echinacea, that was simple gorgeous last year. If it blooms this year I will send you a picture. I had never seen one that color before. I started watching tv and collaging in strong magazines like you. Thanks for the idea. Watching you, which I love doing is costing me money. I know you would see it when you cut them up and go to use it, but just thought I’d let you know. it would be nice if you could do another brief video of all your planted flowers. I always admire people who plant flowers every year. I don’t have it in me and my husband doesn’t have the patience so we have no landscaping, only grass and trees, which on an acre of land, I guess is enough to take care of. Hello Gayle, I love watching you collage. It’s relaxing. If you ever feel like chatting about it in one of your videos, I’d love to hear how you select the paper you print on when you print a kit. I tend to print it all on Red River (glad you now have that link) when I get a new kit. I find that my ephemera made from master boards can get too thick which bulks up my journals. But regular copy paper can be so thin. Just would like to hear about your selection process when you print a kit. Thanks in advance. Cheers and have a good weekend.
I think Susan got you that retractable blade, because you struggle with the one you use, because where you hold it, it's where is retracts the blade. Nice!
That was exactly what I thought the minute I saw it, but I really like it, I want one of those. I have a Tonic one, but it’s not very sharp and I haven’t used it that much.

I love watching you collage! I had dianthus when I lived down in Virginia (we called it Sweet William down there) but it doesn’t do well here in NY for some reason. And that’s a shame because the deer don’t like it. My condo complex is in the middle of a pine forest but the deer just jump over the fence for breakfast or a late dinner. I decided 8 years ago that I wanted to grow tomatoes in a large flower pot right next to my back door. Woke up early one morning and a deer was eating the new fruit. And the leaves. About 3 feet away from me. I kept banging on the door to shoo her away, but she kept chewing. Then she looked at me as if to say “Thanks for the salad, lady, but what’s for dessert?” I don’t plant tomatoes anymore, can’t afford to feed the herd! They eat everything, except marigolds. They don’t like marigolds, but neither do I. A couple of years ago they ate almost $300 worth of mums. Now I plant shrubs😂😂😂. Have an awesome day!
I live in Upstate NY, fingerlakes region,and the sweet William thrive in my yard. Maybe it's your soil. They are such a beautiful flower that come in so many varieties of color. I just love them. I would be lost without having some in my flower gardens.
Oh friend, I have the deer issue too! Happily they can’t get over my back fence, but my front gardens take a beating! They even eat the shrubs out there. They sure keep them pruned! 😂❤
@@debbie1016 I’m on the east end of Long Island, about 90 miles east of Manhattan. Sandy soil is great for the vineyards but costs a fortune for soil additives to combat that and the ph. Retirement income forced me to give up🤷🏻♀️

I found snapdragons at the dollar tree a week or so ago. There were the colors. They may not be at yours still, however. On a fun note we have baby hummingbirds this year.

I’m trying to get up my nerve to make a mess bird! I don’t really have scraps, so what I’m going to do is use one of my paper pads. I did tie-dye, tie-dye tie ha ha, tea dyed some paper. You know, I thought they were going to make one more season of Stanger Things. 🤔 Wonder what happened! I’m sure by now you have caught up on your rest. So hoping you are feeling better. You mentioned that it might take a few days to get back to the swing of things from your busy weekend trip and all. Then I’m thinking Gayle you had a super busy weekend and traveling and then as soon as you’re back you go to the greenhouse and walk around and then come home and go outside and plant flowers and then start recording this video……..uhm Gayle…….you did so much of course you’re blooming tired 😂! I’m tired just listening to all of your activity…..lol! I think it’s an early to bed tonight for ya and try to catch a few extra Z’s….please you need it my friend.
