Man I’m so happy this channel isn’t toxic about everything Lucasfilm releases like other channels releasing videos this evening
He's been toxic before so I only watch 10% of his videos as a consequence
@@TheNewFlutist when has he been toxic?
Yeah just slurp down the puke water and don’t ask any questions 😂
@@TheNewFlutistWhen as he been so?
I have a "Theory" as to who you're referring to
Those two death trooper zombies fighting Sabine and Ezra was awesome
When the helmet became half broken it looked so cool
Filoni was like let's make their name literal
They're most likely pik and waffles from thrawn treason. On one hand the implication is cool because they are adding book characters to live action.
But on the other hand it makes Filoni look like annoying. Because he's basically saying "yeh I know of the books, but I'm gonna ignore all the characterisation and set up established in them".
Zombies have to be the least threatening thing for a Jedi to fight.
Why did the troopers even go into that kill zone? The whole fight scene makes no sense
The visual inspirations of Middle Earth was nice, Ahsoka the White, Wargs, minas Tirith, and Baylan on top of an Argonarh
Good eye!
had the same vibes but I did not connect the dots till I've read your comment !
I wonder… is The Hobbit entering in public domain next year? Will Lucas films use more Tolkien story archs, themes, design inspirations for this new galaxy? Or perhaps the future Dawn of the Jedi movie? Could they use the creation of Arda, Year of the trees, first age as source? That could be awesome!
Baylan is such an interesting character because we really don't know what he's after. His final shot in the finale is really eerie and ominous to me. Standing on a set of statues of the Father, Son and a headless Daughter, with the father pointing at a faraway mountain top where there's a light...waiting.
Unfortunately we'll probably never know cause the actor passed away :/
@@devinallen4708it’s possible they’ll recast him but who knows
@@michaelnally2841 eh that feel wrong but that's my opinion
@michaelnally2841 better than some cgi/ai overlay
I wonder if they cut some scenes b/c of his death. I liked his ending if that’s what we end with.
I'm mostly curious about the Mortis statues we saw at the end and what that scene implies for the future.
This is how I think the main canon depiction of the aspect of the force is altered now that we have this completed series as of now without future Abeloth theories or wtv: Three Celestials(Mortis Gods) originating from the planet Peridea become the first force users, as well as the most powerful(Father is Balance, Son is Dark, Daughter is Light). They become avatars of the Living Force, directly affecting the universe itself. They also create World Between Worlds, a Force Realm that grants aspects of the Cosmic Force but only accessible through their presence (how ezra entered), connection (how Ahsoka entered cuz of the Daughters essence in her), or knowledge (how Anakin entered as he is knowledgeable and powerful as a Force Spirit).
They also teach Dathomiri Witches about magick force usage. Eventually they bring extreme imbalance (reason the Dathomiri Witches flee their galaxy or go dormant if they stayed), so the Father creates Force Realm Mortis to serve as the cage for him and his children as he keeps them in control for ages. Eventually other force users come to exist, like the Jedi(Light) and the Sith(Dark). Cosmic Force decides it needs a contingency plan and prophecizes the rise of a mortal to create balance, the Chosen One(Anakin Skywalker). Father discovers this, and by extension also the Jedi.
Father wants to make sure prophecy succeeds as he is getting too old to control his children, so he influences the development of Force Entities such as Bendu, Loth-Wolves, and Force Priestesses to assure their knowledge aids the prophecy and by extension other Force Users (such as Jedi learning how to become a Force Spirit). Ages later the prophecy activates and the Chosen One is conceived by Cosmic Force. He eliminates the Mortis Gods with the Father's help, which eliminates their possible imbalance, and then later brings further balance by semi-affecting the amount of power the Jedi and Sith reach(Order 66, Fall of the Empire, Total Destruction of the Sith). However, after all that something is clearly stirring in Peridea, and we will have to wait and see how canon is once again altered for the better in the next star wars project.
I've really enjoyed the hell out of this series, but I also grew up with both TCW and a little bit of Rebels (I had to finish it before Ahsoka started and I'm still kicking myself for not keeping up with it after season 3). Ahsoka is a very important character for me and seeing her get her own show and catharsis with Anakin was like 15 years worth of build up for me, so seeing the series was a dream.
In the end, i think this was one of the stronger disney+ star wars shows. I thought episodes 3 and 4 were pretty lackluster but everything else range from good to great. I really wonder how jarring nightsisters are to people who are unaware of the animated content
Wtf? Episode 4 was lackluster? Episode 4? Baylan vs Ahsoka? That episode was lackluster? Seriously?
1-3 were a lot worse than 4-8
@@brucesnow7125every second of Baylon and Ashoka was so good😭 I’m so sad Rest In Peace Ray
I'm aware of, and have seen, the animated content, and the nightsisters are still super jarring to me.
I loved how this series introduced so many fresh and new concepts into live action and star wars as a whole. I felt like I was watching something unique in star wars (unlike kenobi which felt like a mash of preexisting ideas ). Dave's passion for these characters and ideas is very clear and I hope they give him more seasons before his movie. Pacing usually isn't something that's super noticeable to me, but it definitely felt strange here as did some of the dialogue and acting. Other than that I really enjoyed the series and will miss watching week to week.
Really happy you liked this show. Felt like a good balance of new stuff, fan service for rebels fans, and a beautiful conclusion to Ashokas unfinished business with Anakin.
Thank you. All my friends are saying how dissapointed they are. We got a big Jedi vs Stormtroopers showdown, a meaningful moment with Ahsoka and Sabine, zombie troopers, and Thrawn won, which everyone was complaining that he lost last episode. Some people can't be happy.
I think what’s important for everyone to remember is that sometimes it’s just good to be glad that other people liked something that you didn’t. Like I’m going to be honest, besides Thrawn, I was mainly watching this series for Baylan at this point, I was really worried about them not giving his character a satisfying ending in light of Ray’s death so this episode kinda killed me ☠️ But on the other hand, I can see why people loved it because I think everything they did show was pretty exciting, and I mean obviously everyone isn’t going to be the most invested in the same character I liked. Art is subjective man, appreciate what you can, don’t trash on people for liking what you didn’t , and the world would be a lot better place.
There may or may not be a season 2, but I'm pretty sure it's still official that the Dave Filoni film will basically tie up the entire Mando-verse. It's kinda supposed to be an "Heir to the Empire" type of movie. It's rumored that Mando, Grogu, Ahsoka, Bo-Katan, the Rebels crew, Carson, and maybe even the big three themselves will all be involved and try to take down Thrawn before he gains too much momentum. I imagine it will also tie up the threads that were left loose in this finale.
i heard that rumor, but jeez i hope it isn't true. why can't we let Luke, Leia, and Han rest?
@@ChristopherStandardTimebecause it’s getting to a point where not including them in the plot makes no sense
@@ChristopherStandardTimeBecause them NOT doing anything about Thrawn would make even less sense.
3:18 absolutely. There is many critiques to modern star wars, and the feeling of mystery is one people havent really talked about which have been missing (maybe since the original trilogy really). At times there has felt like theres nothing to explore, no plot tension, but here i think its impressive that theyve been able to create that feeling, especially when you consider that the future timeline/big picture events that are going to happen are allready known.
I loved the show overall, but what really got me was the mystical and dark tone of the episodes, I’m really excited about what Filoni is cooking with the other shows and his movie. For me, this new republic era feels like a pretty good set up for the sequels. Amazing video btw :)
I love witches in Star Wars. Idk why add a witch to most shows and I automatically am drawn to those characters. It was a mixed bag for me but I overall enjoyed it
Right now it’s tied with Andor as my favorite live-action show. I went into it expecting something really mediocre and lazy, especially after The Mandalorian Season 3, but I really ended up loving it! For me, it played into the fantasy side of Star Wars more than anything before, and it’s the first time where I felt this franchise was taking its first step into a larger world. I don’t think there will be a season 2, but more likely we’re going to see Dave’s movie as the official follow up.
a friend of mine said that there was so much mysticism in this episode.
Me who have watched Clone Wars and Rebels: GIMME MORE MYSTICISM. THIS IS NOT ENOUGH MYSTICISM. GIMME MORE.

@@bemasaberwyn55 now I'm frustrated I didn't think of that! 🤣
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I thought it was a lot of fun
I loved this finale and this series overall, so great! If only Shin and Baylan had gotten more closure to their story arcs in the finale it would've been a near perfect season I think. Rest in Peace Ray Stevenson, you are amazing!
I look at the witch powers as that universe force powers. That is why Palpatine had them nearly all wiped out.
Great episode and show overall. The first three episodes were a bit sluggish and slow but with the fourth, things really got interesting.
Definitely one of the better Star Wars shows.
interesting take! i felt kinda meh about it.
I really enjoyed that finale, good fun and good set up for the season 2 which I'm almost certain is coming. Overall I loved this series, probably my favourite live action series as a big Rebels fan
Definitely one of the better Star Wars shows, finally some good new antagonist too.
After Kylo Ren I never felt invested in any of the new villains that came after, Gideon had a awesome entrance in season one of Mando but never quite lived up to it in later seasons.
But Baylan Skoll is the type of character that makes me really interested in what the next step of his story will be. It's a real shame we lost Ray but I hope his character gets to live on.
Yes it was a magical epic hour of tv
I think this ending was ....ok It didn't totally grab me, but it was ok.
Overall, I feel the live action versions of these characters didn't live up to their animation counter parts. I feel if they got the entire writing staff from Rebels this story could have been better
I'll be honest: this show left me on a 50/50 for me as well.
*SPOILERS*
On one hand, I really thought that some of the concepts were really neat (Baylan and Shin were probably my favorite part of the show, though I really enjoyed what they did with Hera and the New Republic side of things. Thrawn was cool).
On the other hand, it wasn't until the finale that all of the pieces behind "why is "Ahsoka"?" started coming together.
Ever since Episode V ("The Shadow Warrior", not "The Empire Strikes Back"), I have been confused on why there was supposed to be a parallel for Ahsoka and Vader. We never got a clear answer on what was happening in Ahsoka's life that had her suddenly afraid of the Jedi lifestyle she was currently living (even though she, you know, tries to distance herself from being a Jedi). Yes, she was haunted by the past, but the whole crux of her character's arc in this series was that something in her life should have influenced why after nearly 20 years of helping the Rebellion and attempting to prevent Thrawn's return, she suddenly felt she was at risk of becoming like Darth Vader.
The finale finally revealed something that, in my opinion, should have been revealed in "Shadow Warrior": Ahsoka was afraid that, because of the events of Mandalore's destruction, training Sabine would result in her creating more of a warrior intent on destruction for the sake of revenge.
Suddenly, the pieces clicked: Ahsoka wasn't afraid of herself becoming like Vader and her lifestyle as a warrior, she was comparing Anakin's legacy to that of what COULD be Sabine's legacy if Ahsoka trained her.
So, on one hand, the connection was finally made so I could understand the story.
On the other hand, this was only revealed in the finale, so a lot of the series around Ahsoka just felt "meh" until I got to that point.
The series felt like a drag in most places, and there were some creative choices that kind of made characters look dumb or inconsistent with what the show established (the Night troopers should have Order 66'd Ahsoka, but instead chose to watch her and Morgan fight; Thrawn should have destroyed the castle instead of trying to target the Howlers since the episode started with everything being ready for departure, so the castle was not necessary; the Jedi casually fly their ship over the Noti as though to protect them despite the fact the only reason the Noti were attacked was because Ezra and Sabine were with them, thus allowing their ship to be shot down so they can't use their ship to get to Thrawn, etc)
Even in a vacuum, I feel like casual audience members that watch this series will find reasons to care for every character in the series but Ashoka herself. Kind of weird to suggest, but the most important thing I can glean from Ahsoka is she carries lightsabers and had Anakin Skywalker as a Master, a detail of understanding that only distracted from expanding the relationship between Sabine and Ahsoka.
My final question is does this series really have more to show concerning Ahsoka (thus the need for a season 2)? Or is this supposed to be followed by another series merely to follow what happens to Thrawn (Skeleton Crew)?
And more importantly, if/when the Thrawn movie comes out, will it be dependant on prior knowledge concerning this series, or will it stand on its own, and thus watching this series will feel unnecessary in the grand scheme of things?
So, overall, it was a fun series, but it just felt like certain things just needed a bit more time to make this series have the tension the finale had. A lot of the ideas were good, but felt misplaced or not well thought out.
Still, the finale was the best "Star Warsy" episode of the series (and I liked most of the story prior to entering another galaxy), but as a whole, it felt more like it ended in the middle of a story.
And with the meta knowledge that Ray Stevenson may not be there for a potential season 2, I don't know if we will ever know what Baylan was looking for, unless it somehow gets picked up by Shin.
So what could have made this show better?
Simply, story reduction ( *which is something that I think some of the "Star Wars Legends" books could have benefitted from* ): the finale we got should have been the halfway mark of the series so that whatever Baylan and Shin would have been up to would have been resolved in this series. Yes, Thrawn is a big bad for the New Republic, but for Ahsoka, having a chance to stop Baylan from finding whatever it is he was looking for (thus closing up a mystery rather nicely) would give this series much more of an isolated pay-off and closure that would allow it to stand on its own. But nope, we got not just one cliffhanger in the finale, we got three: one for Ahsoka, one for Baylan, and one for Shin. *Four, if you want to count Thrawn.*
Anyways, those are my thoughts. Take them how you will.
Remember when HG thought witches and zombies in Star Wars was “too silly”?
Pepperidge farm remembers.
I may be younger (grew up with the prequels) but I was never really bothered at all by the more obviously magic nightsister witchcraft. Even in the OT, the emperor himself wasn't much beyond an evil wizard attacking Luke with what may as well be a magic spell.
Great ending
For this ep, I was most excited to see the Father, Son & (headless) Daughter. Could this be that galaxy's Mortis? Could the Mortis gods have come from that galaxy originally? Very thankful all these fan theories about Abeloth were wrong - she was a dumb character in the EU (fight me). Love how Filoni is still going to the Clone Wars well for easter eggs & story stuff.
I agree, Abeloth is complete bantha poodoo
NO. The Mortis statues confirmed that Abeloth is indeed what is calling to Baylan. The Mortis gods left the planet after imprisoning her there. Season 2 will see Baylan free her.
@@AtiShard16 no, it really does NOT
@@DorsenFilm Is common sense that hard for you to comprehend? There's only one reason why the Ones would be on that planet--it was their original home before Abeloth's corruption. Dave is setting up something BIG for season 2. The finale confirmed all the fan theories.
@@AtiShard16 when season 2 comes out, and that stupid tantacle-fingered fanfic character isn’t in it, don’t come back and cry to me.
I have enjoyed ALL the Disney shows. Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan... Everyone is a basement critic, but damn, at 53 I lived from 1983 until Phantom Menace with nothing (Not a book or cartoon guy) zip, nada and that sucked goat ass. Thanks to Lucas, Feloni and Disney for rocking the last few years.
I really enjoyed the whole show ,and I felt like this was a good way to end the season (Ihope). I feel like Sabine and Ahsoka have been left in a place where Sabine can develop her newly discovered connection to the Force, and Ezra can be Harry Potter in the Goblet of Fire declaring Thrawn is back. I never once thought Thrawn wasn't coming back because his presence is too powerful to not take advantage of in more stories. I feel very connected to these characters because my now teenage daughter has watched Clone Wars and Rebels numerous times in its entirety, and for her its her Star Wars as much as the OT is mine. I enjoy the opportunity to sit with her, and enjoy the animated shows too.
On a larger note, I've enjoyed everything that has come out since the Sequel Trilogy. Part of my enjoyment has been accepting that each show has its own tone, and not expect a single note from Star Wars. Andor was tense and dark and amazing to watch while Book of Boba Fett was fun and adventurous. I do admit I wish that BoBF hadn't become Mando 2.5, but it was still a good ride. I think Disney has done a much better job with the TV shows versus the Sequel Trilogy. I would love to see Dave and Jon just take over Lucasfilm, personally.
I cant understand how Ezra just seemed real cool with Sabine helping Thrawn return, like they never talked about it
So well said.. Loved this review and agreed with everything that you mentioned. Curious if they will incorporate the father, son, daughter(and maybe even Abeloth) into whatever they hold for the future.
While i personally love the witches and magic (I'm a clone wars kid)
I feel the same way you do about them, towards abeloth and the vong from legends .
They just don't belong imo .
Too bad. Because Abeloth is coming. The Mortis statues confirmed the theory that she is calling for Baylan to free her.
I feel like Ezra and Hera will get Mon Mothma’s help to create another hyperspace ring and get Ahsoka and Ezra back that way. It’s gonna be more of a challenge though since Thrawn’s back
One thing I miss about the Star Wars of my childhood was how I got to fill in the blanks between the stories with my imagination, but now we know everything is going to be filled in with a TV show, book, or comic.

I very much enjoyed the whole show and appreciate, that you found a little liking with it too, in the end.
Ahsoka is still one of my favorite SW characters and I'm really happy we got the chance to see her in live action and that it turned out to be great, imo.
Who thinks that the boxes Thrawn was moving contain dead witches who will be ressurrected on Dathomir by the Great Mothers?
I liked the episode, but I was definitely missing Baylan and Shin's parts in it, which is why I think I liked last week's episode just a little bit more. It also ends the story very open, which is weird but also not unexpected either. Not only does this show tie into the Mandoverse, I also get the sense that it's just the jumping on point for Dave's own offshoot that he'll play in for years to come and he'll welcome a select few to come and play in his Galaxy while everyone else continues to play in George's. Also the last time we had a show end so openly after seemingly concluding everything was Rebels, but this still has a bunch of open ended stuff, so it just feels weird for this to be the end. I'm definitely hoping for a Season 2 because there's a lot of interesting stuff going on with the characters of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hatti. What is his quest? How does all of that tie into the Mortis gods? What will Shin's ultimate goals be now that she is all alone? Will Sabine start to really become a Jedi? I get the sense that she was dipping a bit into the Dark Side just to do what she was able to in this episode, she may just have too much Mandalorian rage in her to really commit, but since she's on this world so separated from everything else, it may help her let go and connect with the Force in a better way. If this were a limited series, I'd say we needed two more episodes just to explore these ideas and get the happy ending where everyone reunites, but I get the feeling this is not the end, we'll be getting Ahsoka Season 2. If not, then we're getting yet another show that ties directly into what happened. It can't end like this.
Oh, and no Ezra and Zeb hug, this is unacceptable, WE RIOT!
I agree 100% about getting the fans who don't dwelve into the books and comics. Makes a ton of sense fam.
I watched this episode willing Thrawn to escape the entire time, very pleased that he actually won 😂
The show overall is still kind of mediocre, but there are certainly high moments that really make it shine from most Disney + projects. Overall it’s good and I’m happy we got some new established characters in the form of Baylan and Shin. I also love how you showed a different perspective from your friend, because it reminds me of my dad, because my dads the exact same, he’s a huge original trilogy lover and adores the original 3, and he had no idea about Thrawn or anything but he enjoys a new direction and it’s nice to see that perspective.
I really enjoyed the show. It felt the most Star Wars show out of what we've got so far. Dogfights, lightsabers, adventure, mentor/ student (family) stuff. Dark side users, Light side Users. But I also wasn't blown away like I was with Andor for instance, probably because it all felt so familiar. It was cool to see it all in live action, and great that they are continuing Star Wars Rebels, but it wasn't something that felt really all that fresh. I am curious (and found your account interesting ) how more casual fans will react to this show. After all, it seems to require a lot of knowledge from at least two animated shows and possibly a bunch of 1990s or 2010s novels to fully get into. And that's my current gripe with Star Wars. It seems a bit, sorry to put it like that, incestous. It all is built on top of other stuff and there seems little room to fully let a creator have their fun with the material. Andor managed to do that somehow. So did Visions, which was some of my favorite Star Wars experiences I've had in recent years.
The Actress who plays Baylan's apprentice, kinda felt sorry for her in a similar way i felt sorry for Assajj Ventress, great characters who were crapped on in the end, Ventress got her Redemption in some crappy Book, i hope Baylan's apprentice gets some redemption, i'd like to see her character again. but only her character, no Baylan, his end was just right in my opinion, although it would've been nice to have one more line from Ray, "Found you" just that would've been nice. i think Re casting Baylan would be ok if they're continuing his plot.
Didn’t really feel any tension or that any character would die. Especially with the movie coming out I felt it was safe to bet that they would keep everybody for the movie
As someone who never saw Rebels, my favorite characters in this series were Baylan and Shin and neither of them got a single line in the final episode. Bit of a bummer.
I thought that the action was mostly flat in the series. There were some great duels, but I dont think the show creators have quite figured out how to create compelling blaster vs blaster or saber vs blaster sequences. Looking forward to season 2.
I know what you mean about there's no official announcement of a season 2, I know there's gonna be the Filoni directed movie where they said it will bookend this show, Mando & Book of Boba, plus rumors are saying it will be called Heir to the Empire, which actually makes sense because of Thrawn. But there's other things I'm like ok is there gonna be another season before the movie or what?
The one thing that stood out to me that i enjoyed was simply the mystery. There's so much mystery surrounding the planet, the galaxy, the force. It's almost eery. Like "deep ocean" scary.... in a universe where they can go anywhere and do anything, there isn't really a fear of the unknown. But this time, it feels like there is.
So glad you liked it!
I love the Nightsisters and their magic cause it shows a different side of the Force, and how it can be channelled differently.
I love HG videos... Nice ambiance music in the background, no toxic attribute, just chill vibes... HG is good for the soul. ✌️😎
I loved it! episodes 3-8 were all really solid for me. I agree about the lightness of the saber fights. I really love rebels so i really feel like this show was made for me.
Dave Filoni is a monster, and i love him for it.
I think I'd be okay with Ahsoka getting stranded or even killed off, but kinda think Sabine should have stuck around with Ezra cause that's been her whole goal. Sabine runs back to help Ahsoka cause it's a very obvious completion of her arc about getting back by Ahsokas side and the fact she left her the first time. But I think it'd be a bit more compelling if instead Ahsoka had pushed her to leave her to continue the fight with Ezra, cause that would have surprised me. But I did really enjoy the season by the end of it and am keen to see where it goes.
I haven't watched Ahoska, however I do love this character in the Clone Wars from 2008.

Overall I am a huge fan of Ahsoka. This seems like it is a story waiting to be finished. I hope there is another season. My only critique was that Sabine did not feel the same until this episode. I know that she had a lot of struggles. And often it is hard to translate a character from one medium to another, but she just didn't feel like Sabine to me. If they get another season maybe she will. She makes a comment about how she thought she would never see Ezra again. But previous to that, it seemed that was all she wanted. So maybe if there is a continuation they can explore some of those themes.
What did you think of episode 5 with Ahsoka and Anakin?
Lightsabers should be framed as more dangerous, that is for sure. But overall nice!
I agree but this has been an issue for a little while tbh. Like maul surviving being cut in half and starkiller being stabbed. I don’t really like it but I also get it. I kinda blame legends because a lot of people survived stab wounds there
@@tommyfamolare8740 In canon Maul was revived not survived the lightsaber cut. It was going to be explained in a canceled season 7/unfinished season 8 episode but it didn’t come out with Disney. The Darth Maul comic for the unfinished episodes confirm how he was brought back.
Zombie Stormtroopers is something i never thought i wanted
Man, I guess I’m in the minority on this one. Wasn’t really feeling it. Thought it ended pretty much where I expected it to, and the weight of what happened seemed like it didn’t really set in on Sabine and Ashoka. Also the complete lack of Baylon and Shin was disappointing to say the least. Was just hoping for a bit if another curve ball or something.
The magic has always felt out of place for me as well.
I think it's because so much of the force is about your emotions and philosophy and then it turns out you can just chant some words and raise the dead.
Season 2 or not this show has set up many stories i look forward to keeping up with
Grand Admiral Thrawn using the turbolasers on his Star Destroyer to bombard a group of Jedi riding space wolves to assault a dark side witches’ stronghold upon which said Star Destroyer is parked is both straight up old EU book fun and 100% peak Filoni, and I’m here for both.
Most didn't know you needed witches, ghosts or zombies in Star Wars.... but many will come back for more if they are offered by Filoni and the gang every Halloween.
I completely agree about the action, feels like they’re doing everything underwater
I loved the episode, but I also thought the lightsaber moves felt weightless, especially when Ahsoka, Ezra and Sabine are fighting against the Night Troopers. They are all just standing there, there is so much opportunity for action the camera and the actor just stay moveless.
This was the only episode where I felt not watching "the other" shows held me at a distinct disadvantage. Had no idea what Baylan was doing at the end, all I could think of was that it looked like some of the statues from lord of the rings. Overall, enjoyed the series, but nothing exceptional for me.
Definitely NOT a fan of Sabine being force sensitive. Would of liked her if she was just full Mando.
I'm happy with what we got as a finale. Could of been better. This show definitely a set up for more Faloni stuff, just placing all the chess pieces on the board.
Definitely looking forward for what's coming next.
why does greedo sound like matt lanter
The opinions on this episode have been so varied, its very interesting. Seems to be very divisive
A fascinating ending, Thrawn and Ezra are back, the rest are stuck far, far away.
Zombie Storm Troopers was wild.
We are left with a huge Ray hole in the future of the story.
Haven’t seen you pop up in forever
Definitely won't be a send off for Ashoka and Sabine, considering the Mortis gods could appear. I'm curious to see what they do with Baylan since the actor passed away, such a shame was a really interesting character and Ray Stevenson is a great actor.
Also I really don’t think Thrawn would like having his men being resurrected considering how he usually treats his man the only way I can see it being acceptable is that the fact he said they were willing to make that sacrifice but still it doesn’t sit right with me something he would approve of but I suppose it’s one of those for the greater good and in the grand scheme of things a handful of troopers lives to save the Galaxy and restore the empire is a price to pay
Can we just talk about how Hayden Christensen is 2 for 2 with the Star Wars tv shows? I feel like he has gotten his redemption. I mean he has always been loved but the prequels but he was written as a little baby instead of this cunning warrior that Obi wan spoke of in a new hope. I feel like in the Obi wan series, Anakin’s hatred and what he became was highlighted. In Ahsoka, Anakin is portrayed the way he should be, who he truly was and how great he was as warrior and teacher. It was simply amazing
I’m glad you enjoyed the episode Greedo
Everyone who doesn’t like something Star Wars, even with legitimate reasoning, being written off as toxic is just lame, man. All the people who complain that “Star Wars fans are toxic” if they don’t gobble every spoonful down without question are actually the toxic ones. Pretty disheartening to see Star Wars fandom become a series of absolutes and actual conversation with honest, differentiating opinions being written off in a *toxic* way.
I would love a second season following Ahsoka, Sabine, Baylin, and Shin
It was AWESOME!!!
Diana Lee Inosanto (Morgan Elsbeth) is so great when it comes to fighting choreography !!!
I guess Luke Skywalker, Ezra Bridger, Jacen Syndulla, Ben Solo, Cal Kestis, and Merrin will have to deal with Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Nightsisters, and Night Troopers. With a little help from Hera Syndulla, Zeb Orrelios, Din Djarin, Din Grogu, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, Chopper, Threepio, and Artoo. Ok, there's more but I'm too tired to name them all.
I wasn’t feeling this episode but overall the season wasn’t awful.
Good review and it is definetly how I feel about the show.
The production value of this show defintely topped the past Disney+ shows.
Im loving the dive into the fantasy elements
I also really hope thrawn It’s nothing to do with the whole sequel trilogy but I mean it’s gonna have to happen because Dave would’ve been given permission to do an alternative universe
It’s gonna be interesting to see what the casual fans think. Especially the ones who aren’t following the cartoons.
They probably won't understand it and thus trash it for no good reason. They always say, "I won't watch cartoons." 🙄
Where were Baylen and Shin? What the heck was that?
Where the show fell flat in its first half, it really delivered in its second (for the most part). It's probably my favourite after Mando S1 and S2 and Andor and definitely recommend it if you're still invested in Disney Star Wars
Yeah, the witches are a little silly: but I think this series was a intentional band aid for that by justifying why they use the force differently. By retconing it so the witches are from another galaxy it makes their unique use of the force more understandable: witchcraft is just how force usage developed in a different galaxy
But I like this tbh. Having the force show differently in different galaxy’s is a cool concept and it’s not like fire is new. Palpatine had blue fire in rebles
I feel like so many OG trilogy die hards have this idea that Star Wars is something it isn’t. Star Wars always has been and was always intended to be fantastical and over the top. Some aspects just seem normal now so we don’t think about them, but Vader looks ridiculous when you think about it and the force is a silly magic power with a silly name. Obi wan is an old wizard man minus the pointy hat. Yoda is a senile talking frog who lives in a tree. Jawas and Ewoks are no less silly than the little hermit crab people in Ahsoka. And if you hear George Lucas talk about Star Wars and look at the early concept art even way back in the 70s, this is exactly the kind of stuff he envisioned he was just limited by the technology. I love the OG Star Wars, but Ahsoka is more in line with the OG trilogy than Andor is despite what the Andor stans think.
Honestly like i rewatched the OT and it isn’t perfect. But it has this charm and love that ahsoka mando and the prequels have. It’s good I love the movies but there not perfect and have some stuff that just hasn’t aged well effect wise and that’s okay. I think people think the ot is perfect when no it’s very flawed but it has passion and love in it. And it is a fun story
I’m glad Thrawn actually escaped. It would have been lame if they built him up as a massive threat and then stopped him in like 3 episodes.
I’ve enjoyed the season, mostly, but Thrawn hardly shows he’s the master tactician he was set up to be.
For the empire
BAYLAN!!! He was totally aware of the Force trinity. Those statues! And why was the Daughter’s head chopped off??? 😳 Not a good sign for Ashoka. Let’s be real… it’s Abeloth isn’t it. It’s totally Abeloth.
Yes, I think the statues confirmed the theory that Abeloth is imprisoned there.
My only gripe with the ending is that they know that they are on a race to get to thrawn they know that he will leave. So, why at the start of the episode they are just sitting around not doing anything.
Raiders attacked the Noti on Thrawn's orders, they aren't going to let innocents die on the way.
@@comicop2513 but they just end up leaving anyways. Also sticking with them just causes them more trouble
