Oh my goodness, memories of this movie from my late teenage and early college years! One of my favorite songs from the movie and owning the soundtrack! And Happy National Coming Out Day (October 11). :)
They did a great performance and I'm fascinated that they used a great song of Todd Rundgren from his "Nearly Human' album '89. He has done many albums, soundtracks in movies and tv shows.. @RentHead56 Also a majority of the musicians were in the original Rent band, including Tim Weil (piano/keyboards), Daniel A. Weiss (guitar/keyboards), Kenny Brescia (guitar/banjo), and Jeff Potter (drums).
Some of the credits appeared to be left out.I recall a"Damon" in the end credits,and another dude based on seeing it on HBO recently via Dish.Thanks for posting this.
You don't need to tell me; I didn't mean it literally. I'm a big Glee fan myself. While "rip-off" isn't exactly true, it was a predecessor in much of a similar vein, regardless of the high school vs. musical camp venues. They are certainly analogous theme- and style-wise, so I wouldn't be surprised if the former (Camp) inspired the latter (Glee).
