The French adjective for foreign language is “étrange”, which is a false friend of English “strange”. Btw, it should be spelled “weirdo”, not “wierdo”.
There are other such false friends such as attendre (to wait) and attend (to go to a certain event or a place); arrêter (to stop) and arrest.

In Bahasa (indonesian language), we literally say Foreign with strange
Foreign = Asing
Strange = Asing

"Étranger" (french exception, it s a noun but not a verb) means "foreigner"
"Étranger " also be used to say "à l'étranger " , and it's mean "to a foreign country"
