Amazing !! She is not oversinging, as so many do now, and did since .. She is fantastic, how lovely, and he is perfect!! I heard them alot in Vienna back in 1979 to 1981, but never together (he was always paired with Ricciarelli) .. Thank you for posting, beautiful, no pushing, just sheer beauty !!
Wenn man diese Aufführung sieht und hört, kann man heute nicht mehr in die Oper gehen. Einfach grandios!!!. Montserrat Caballe (R.I.P.) ist wirklich "La Superba", hervorragend Jose Carreras, unerreicht Ingvar Wixell und Colin Davis - so muss man Tosca dirigieren. Glücklich die Leute, die das live erleben durften. Dank dem, der das ins Netz gestellt hat.

I'm pretty sure the correct line is " Scherza coi Fanti, e lascia stare i Santi" Già, sono impenitenti tutti quanti. Facciam piuttosto il segno della croce. If i'm right this is un umbelievable mistake, even unforgivable at this level.

40年以上前、田舎から出てきて初めて本格的なオペラ公演を鑑賞したのが、カバリエ、カレラスのトスカでした。
画質は不鮮明ですが、今でも当時のステージが目に焼き付いています。
カバリエの美しいピアニッシモ、カレラスの若々しく張りのある声も絶品でした
