Me too. With shipping to the Czech Republic it would cost me 50 USD and I wouldn´t be happy with this stuff at all. I had high expectations and this is not good at all. It´s also mentioned that this box should be combination of HP and FB, but this one has not much of HP stuff. One thing with another first box didn´t impress me. What a pity..
I liked it, I like the t-shirt and I love the plushie (it's so soft!) and I like the journal and the bowtruckle pin is just so cute (I love bowtruckle's now I've seen Fantastic Beasts, lol).

They shouldve gone all out for their first box, but instead this looks like a average box that you would get a few months or years in. I will definitley keep an eye on this crate though. I live in Australia and this box is $65au But going off how much these items would cost in Australia.... $25-$30 for the shirt. $30 for the plush. $15 for the pin. $20 for the pop vinyl. $10 for key ring. That's basing the prices off other licensed items you can find here. That's already like $100au. So about $35 profit, and personally I really love the plush and the pin, and the other items seem neat too.
Really expected better. Lootcrate seems to be a hit or miss with their exclusive crates recently. The hype for this was over the top and i expected it to be better. I guess if it didn't get as much hype then I wouldn't of felt like it had to be amazing 😂
will you compare this to geek box?? right now after this video I'm liking more the geek box one, even if they don't give so much as official things, but I like their originality
I feel the exact same way. If I had to choose a box based on the last geek gear hp box or this one, geek gear would win hands down. I had high hopes for this box but it just can't compare to geek gear. I'll give loot crate one more chance but if I don't like the next box, I'm canceling.
Honestly, it's lootcrate you know they have consistency issues and for the most part they are a large company paying pennies on the dollar for these products. This is a large company getting great rates on everything. They could have provided better products based on the fact that they get these items for basically nothing. Their shipping rate is great because they ship out a lot of products.
I agree with you. I was also disappointed with it. Lootcrate said every one of the items is exclusive except for the pop. I think Lootcrate is making the officially licensed items, so they are both Lootcrate exclusives and officially licensed items. I've seen the shirt design elsewhere so I don't know how that is exclusive. I do like the shirt design though, but only because it's got insane detail. To me, it felt like they just took things from the franchise and made items out of it. The box didn't really tell a story. Didn't feel theme-y. Just felt like random items. Maybe I was blown away by the Geek Gear World of Wizardry box which is why this one was underwhelming. I'm hoping for more classic Harry Potter in the next box. Looking forward to house-specific items which was missing from this box. I know a lot of people are gonna just unconditionally love this box because they love Harry Potter, but I think we deserve better.
i dont get it why loot crate gives so many journals in their boxes... people even use them? i kinda doubt that.. and dont even get me started with shot glasses...or toothpick holders...uuuurrgggg im guessing they run out of ideas for their items
They mentioned a wand on their Facebook page but it was for their Loot Crate Magical Theme. Saw an unboxing video of their standard crate (disappointing) it showed no wand, which might mean its in their Loot Crate DX.

I completely understand what you mean about the shirt. When you first opened the box I thought the same thing when I first saw it. This box was okay. Half the items I liked. I was hoping since it was pricey & bimonthly that more effort would be put into it though.

I felt the same way I think the quality of the items is nice, I was just a bit disappointed in the lack of Harry Potter items. Also the fact that I did pick Slytherin as my house and nothing related to that. But as I said in my unboxing video, I'm thinking they did that because it's the first box and hopefully in January we'll get a more personalized box. No you were right, the box did sell out 3-4 weeks before the subscription was even due to close. I would have liked to get Newt, I got Tina. I like the shirt, it's pretty obvious that it's from the movie if you've seen Fantastic Beasts, lol :) Although a bowtruckle shirt would have been adorable, hah. I liked the box overall :) Although for me in the UK (just like you with Geekgear being from the UK) I'd say the value for me was probably what I paid for it, but I don't really mind 'cos I love the HP world and like getting the surprise Harry Potter world items :)

I think the price went up. I don't think I paid that much money for it. I paid $50 for the 6 month plan. It might be purely HP with the next box. I think they released this one just because of the movie coming out.

Kinda glad I didn't get this one, it looked a bit meh imo. the notebook looks very similar to the notebook that came with the Firefly cargo crate for Zoe. hopefully the next one will be better
First thought I had with the key chain was to put it on my purse. Not a fan of this crate; my shirt was the wrong size and the map in the journal was upside-down. Not worth the hype to get a fantastic beast box when that is the theme for the regular loot crate.
Awesome box!! Fantastic Beast is an awesome movie and I think Albus is in that series because he was mentioned in the Fantastic Beast movie and heard he might come out in the future movies to Fantastic Beast :)

I'd like to know where you guess your prices haha. that Keychain alone if it was at the store would be around $12-15. the journal would be around $24-26. the plus about $12-14. pins about $8 as well. at least from my experience with Harry Potter world and hot topic that's how I would price it lol
hmmm when I went to get this box but it was sold out. It's a little bit of a let down. Pigwidgeon is cute but I have an offical plush from the Harry Potter Studio tour in London :-) I'd have been disappointed to get a Dumbledore funko. and I agree the tshirt is a let down, they could have made that design as a print and done a more exciting tshirt. loot crate is an American based company is it not? just thought it would make sense to have more fantastic beasts merchandise in an American based box as fantastic beasts is based in new york i would expect more hp merchandise in the uk world of wizarding geek gear box as it's a UK company and hp is based in uk maybe I'm wrong just my logic

We got our box today. I loved everything in the box and it well exceeded its value (IMO) but I have to agree with the shirt. I liked it but after seeing FBAWTFT today, I think they could have done a better design. I'm looking forward to the next box. I was a little disappointed too, I expressed that in my video. Agree with you about it. Bummed we didn't have more house related stuff as we got to choose our houses...#SlytherinPride LOL

I think this box is disappointing. The price plus having J.K. Rowling in the name created much higher expectations. I will give them one more shot and then cancel if I still don't like it. If they up their game after that, I will reconsider but at this point it seems like a much better idea to spend my money on geek gear.
nobody There is actually rumor that one of the upcoming movies will have Newt and Dumbledore defeating Grindlewald. Newt and Albus were good friends so I think there will be a lot more interconnection between the two franchises.

They don't dislike it but I'm not quite sure they are super supportive, although now that they know I make money, I think they are ok with it lol. A lot of my friends and co workers know about my channel. Some like it, some don't understand it, but at the end of the day, I'm the same in my videos as I am in real life. 💜

I've often shown them while I was drinking because I was too afraid to do it otherwise :P haha. My dad played my singing at a party in our house and everyone gave me the nod of approval so I guess it was a good thing? just thought it would make sense to have more fantastic beasts merchandise in an American based box as fantastic beasts is based in new york
i would expect more hp merchandise in the uk world of wizarding geek gear box as it's a UK company and hp is based in uk

We got our box today. I loved everything in the box and it well exceeded its value (IMO) but I have to agree with the shirt. I liked it but after seeing FBAWTFT today, I think they could have done a better design. I'm looking forward to the next box. I was a little disappointed too, I expressed that in my video. Agree with you about it. Bummed we didn't have more house related stuff as we got to choose our houses...#SlytherinPride LOL

+Ricardo Costa if you like stuff that is more like items you get at the store, go with loot crate. If you like more unique type of items, then go with geek gear.

I think this box is disappointing. The price plus having J.K. Rowling in the name created much higher expectations. I will give them one more shot and then cancel if I still don't like it. If they up their game after that, I will reconsider but at this point it seems like a much better idea to spend my money on geek gear.

Harry Potter is separate story from the beast movie its not really connected only that its magic and similar world, its way different time
nobody There is actually rumor that one of the upcoming movies will have Newt and Dumbledore defeating Grindlewald. Newt and Albus were good friends so I think there will be a lot more interconnection between the two franchises.
