Ours decided it wanted a vacation and evacuated all over itself, 1 month before it went out of warranty. That was Sept 17th. It was dropped of last night Dec. 28th. Thank you for all the informative videos.
Wow. Glad to hear it was under warranty. We had trouble finding one as well and just got lucky that Rolling Retreats had one in stock. Thanks for following along. Safe Travels
I live in Tooele, so i drive by there every day. I just stumbled upon your channel when I heard you were heading to Salt Lake. Hope you enjoy your visit. Nice time of year for there not to be any bugs at the lake and the rosy aroma of the salt isn’t too pungent. I enjoy your content and I must say that’s quite the rig.
Hey Logan. We always like staying at the Great Salt Lake but it is nice not to get punched in the face by the aroma LOL Thanks for following along we appreciate you. Safe Travels
Good to see even DRV’s have a rats nest of wires underneath the evaporator coil. Figured my cedar creek was the only one that had wires blocking the air return
Hi Jack. Thanks for following along and for subscribing. As a test I simply replaced the breaker with a known good, new one, and it also tripped indicating that the compressor was throwing g the breaker. Hope that helps. Safe Travel.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry about the camera battery. I will be in quartzsite at La Posa south for the Next Exit meet up. GOD WILLING. hope to see you there. Long time follower. Don
Thanks Aaron for another informative video. Here is wishing you and your entire family a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.. Of course that includes Maggie. Safe travels.
Well you made that look easy. :-) I'm sure it wasn't easy forking over the $1500 for the new unit. At least you did it right, and did it yourself so you know it got done right. Great job.
Awesome Tech video luckily I haven't had to replace anything like that yet and on a side note every time I hear your intro music to your video I start dancing for some reason makes for a great start in the morning safe travels keep the videos coming👍👍 have you installed that train horn yet on that big rig?
Hey Mike. Thanks for that, glad to help get you moving in the a.m. LOL I have not installed the train horn yet. I gifted it to my father-in-law so I am going to be looking to get another one for the Volvo at some point. It has a pretty good horn on it already but that train horn just makes everything better :) Safe Travels my friend.
Hi Great video. Looks like it may not Mayer how the telephone wiring goes back together. There are two of them on each unit. Or does it? Another question. Does the other heat pump have the DC wires also or just the 2 telephone wires? I just changed my both units and only one zone came initialized on the thermostat? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks Tom
Hi Tom. I don't believe it matters. Yes, the others have DC wiring but the load is communicated between units and the primary unit communicates with the thermostat. Hope that helps. Safe Travels
Great video, too bad about your cameras, It would’ve been good to see the install. By the way what kind of fuel mileage are you getting in your truck. And what gear ratio do you have?
Hey Jim. Yeah I was bummed when I realized the footage was not there. There's bound to be bumps in the road along the way. :) I am seeing an average of about 9 to 11 MPG. Our ratio is 2.64 and runs at about 1400 RPM at 65 MPH. Hope that helps. Safe Travels
Ok . . . I just gotta ask. I’ve seen lots of videos on a/c installs and replacement . Even removed and replaced my own on an old class C years ago. . . . But this is the first time I’ve seen anyone have to remove bolts from the topside to get the a/c off. What am I missing?
On our RV the ac is 100% ducted so you cannot access the AC unit from the inside like you can in some coaches. That said, our units are bolted to the roof decking not bolted to an inner plenum inside the coach. Hope that helps. Safe Travels

HI, great info. I change mine, and lost furnace on my dometic thermostat. Could it be one of the wires?
