  • This is a minimal effort demo created upon request with the emulator. Subject of the demo is my music making software for the Commander X16.
As of now, Concerto isn't in a state that I would consider ready for users, but not too far off. Maybe in less than a year it could be, who knows.

If you're wondering what the heck 0:41 to 1:10 is all about, I am trying to find which note instrument 16 is mapped to. I still need to add visual hints for that.

Are the drums being played back from the YM2151/64 or the VERA PCM?

In this case, they are from the FM chip. Concerto currently doesn't support PCM. The combination of FM and the PSG is quite powerful, so a lot can be achieved with just those

How are you doing click and drag with the mouse?

The mouse code is a "state machine". On mouse button down time, the mouse goes into a different state depending on which thing it's pointing at and which buttons were pressed. That "mouse drag" state lasts as long as a mouse button is held down and in each GUI tick, a certain action is performed according to the state.
And with respect to the notes being moved around: each selected note is cut and pasted into a separate vector of notes. Whenever one of them is moved by mouse drag, the operation is done on each note inside that vector of selected notes.
