I'm one of those mentally deranged people that love AUs, even stock ones, as long as it's not a series 1 Forte. This one is so nice, I need to go change my shorts, excuse me lol.
they actually look sick when they are slammed
I reckon the XRs look better then the BA&BF XRs
Same! My AU ute is a divvy. Lights and sirens and more. Canopy cameras etc, laptop in the cabin. Falcon_147 on Instagram for more 👍
@@obs4281 you're the strange one who spams your car on Facebook groups
Beyond Backwater That’s me! :D
im in that small percentage that actually likes the look of the AU XR8, i had an auto though, would've loved a manual.
- And no, im not a ford bias fanboy I own a VTSS 5.0l manual at the moment
just a fan of aussie cars
Front lip really tidies up the front end. Nice car boys.
Been to 4 other workshops and couldn't get it running but you guys did. That speaks for itself. Nice work!
Yesssss!!!
I actually had no idea there were aftermarket (non-piggyback) ECU’s that we’re capable of retaining all features of the AU including dash, A/C, Smart Lock, etc. This is great!
Wolf do a V500 plug n play for AUs too, which runs all accessories as well
@@vlt873 bullshit.. where from..?what are they worth..? i have 2 au,s Id like to go that way.. au2 xr8 turbo ute.. T2 TE50.. tellllll me more mate...
@@vlt873 ..?
Wolf is usally the go-to for jz cars, a little dear but worth it
As an owner of many fox body mustangs with that Windsor I’d love to get one of these into the states. Such an understated car that’s got a great street tune. Awesome video
I've got an AU and I would love to get a Fox notch!
Swap ya!
@@5thgearouttahere i 2nd that!! But would feel a bit guilty swapping such an ugly turd for Foxbody
Hell yeah! Good to see some AU love! Really good looking and sounding example there🤟🏾👌🏾👏🏾
Can't beat the sound of a Ford V8. 🤘😎🤘
🤤🤤🤤😍😍😍😍 good to see a Ford V8 for once on here
On the periodic table of elements, the symbol for Gold is Au
A mate of mine bought a tidy runner, same as this, last year for 5k. This thing is gorgeous and stout! Workshop is super tidy, love to see that wild violet XA Sedan in the background.
Im from the Netherlands and i have never even seen an autralian built car in real life. But i love them, i remember a race car of this being in the old Gran Turismos.
Pretty Stout 💪🏼, basically what a cammed & tuned LS would probably make which is tuff. ✅
5.7 LS around 300kw with a easily streetable cam, 330kw 6L, 350kw 6.2L. pushrod v8s are all the same the tech has been long refined its more about the limits the architecture can handle where LS reigns supreme for price and form factor and availability of aftermarket. Ford small block has the nicer sound still.
Good to see a variety of cars and engines.
Sounds nice! I always loved the AU XR front end
I remember so wanting a Ts50 when they dropped, still do !
But this example is on point.
The AU is a great car if done right.
This one is done right 👌
Beautiful ,love the AU :)
Very nice!!! Will be looking into the fueltech for my TS.
Ive personally never liked the au's but that is tidy as hell and sounds killa too 👍👍
How unaustralian
@@declanc1856 .....unAUstralian......
There's always that one guy in the comment section
" Don't normally like AU's but this one's nice "
They are to scared to say that actually like AU's
I've liked AU's since the beginning
True. My AU ute is a divvy. Lights and sirens and more. Canopy cameras etc, laptop in the cabin. Falcon_147 on Instagram for more 👍
That's easy 650hp on a yank dyno
Hahaha yeah i do wonder about the horsepower claims of the yanks.
More like a 1000
Well played, sir
nice combo. AUs xr8's are becoming expensive again though
always loved this falcon
What a awesome car. Well done....
always loved the look of the au xr. After wathcing some of the old v8 supercar races the au's were the best looking in my opinion, green eyed monster all day
I reckon they look hella nice tbh
Good old 302, good job guys
Real good job 👍
Look it's no series 2 forte, but it's not bad! 🤪 Great result, nice work & nice car.
😂
I have loved all au Ford falcons and in fact I believe that the au falcon to be a great and reliable vehicle to drive and in fact ,aus to fgx falcons have been over rated.davidawilkes1957@gmail.com
@@davidwilkes3347 I've had an eb, el, au, and fg. They're all fine cars was just a bit of a joke. 👍
Way back when i used to work for Ford, we had the current model AU XR6 falcons as delivery vehicles. They were a great car, they handled and went well i enjoyed driving them. It was a sad day when the BA falcons arrived to replace them, i didn't like the BA's at all.
S1 xr8 with s3 taillights and and side blinkers did same to my s1 xr6 I also added the s2/3 rear bar
I've got 2 BA Fairmonts atm but I would give them both up for a series 3 XR8 AU in a heart beat. I was 12-14 when the AU series was released and allways wanted. The price has since skyrocketed in the last 4 years here in NZ. When I got my 1st BA there was a XR8 AU next to it but the wife didn't like it..... Should've not listened to her 😂😂😂
Not a ford guy but the fact we don't even make cars in Australia anymore is fkin ridiculous.
Its not ridiculous when you look at the people running this country. Im swinging at both sides here its a joint effort afterall.
Im not an AU fan but thats some impressive numbers all the same, really tidy looking car too 👍🏼
So you mean you don't like Windsor V8s.
Interestingly enough, I had a gemini with a 302 windsor in it, so yeh i like them fine... wish i hadnt sold it...
Ive been looking for it for years now see if i could buy it back
Clean as, definitely dont see many these days
Nothing better than a clean AU. My AU ute is a divvy setup. Lights and sirens and more. Canopy cameras etc, laptop in the cabin. Kept clean always. Falcon_147 on Instagram for more 👍
Can you tell that I love AUs ?? . Gotta get me a windsor one again one of these days :).
.......hmmmm .....dreams DO come true 👍
Noice mate up the AU!!!! 😀😀

Something about the double spoiler, I like it! Send it
Mint 👌
Bought a manual S2 Ute with custom steel tray I bin trying to fix up for a while now. Wish I could get mine to run like this lol
Does this ecu plug in to the au harness or does it all have to be rewired?
Been looking for a ecu to use in my au that runs a carbed 427 windsor. Was going to go a terminator x, but would prefer something that doesn't require a full rewire and will work with the au body controls.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but anyone who says the AU XR is ugly, is just wrong.
With the right bodykit, they look quite good actually
I’m not so much a fan of these series one AU XR body kits, but the series two and three look brilliant. I’d love to own one.
@@aidsman2609 Yeah I agree. Even though I own a Series one AU I opted for the rebel side skirts rather than the standard kit as the one on this.
Yep that thing is stout 🍻👍
Memories... I bought a red AU XR8 brand new. Sad that I don't still have it.
Tidy as 👌
Awesome work... like to see a NA barra get that or RX8
The guy thought he was Tuning the AU, but really the AU tuned itself.. AU doin AU things
I had a 2000 Ford Fairlane Ghia as my first car. Way nicer looking than the standard au's imo. Unless you got the cobra headlights I think it was called, looked marginally better lol.
As an auII xr6 owner this is mint and the grunt f u c k ing mint
The next Aussie classic. 🇦🇺
Nice wheels
Always use a girdle on the engines especially when stroked. These late model blocks crack right down the middle. The mains webbing is a weak point and anything over 450/500hp and it's roulette. Tuning, you can also use a Moates Quarterhorse plug in. Real time tuning on your factory ECU. They're about $280.
Nice AU. Certain that was a thinly veiled advertisement for the workshop. The dyno tuning was something to show while he talked about the service he can provide for the customer it seemed.
And you wouldnt if FB made a video in your workshop? I know id want some credit for sharing. Im pretty sure plugging local workshops is what these short vids is all about
384 whp? NICE!
I’ve had an au for yonks.i nik named it Maggo 😎🤣
Mint
I had no idea there were aftermarket ECU's that could completely replace your existing one great video guys
Excellent how will the fuel tech go with an AU 4.0 at 14 pounds boost
Quick dig at Haltech at the end there from the sounds of it :)
How so?
@@fullboost 7:40 I've seen a few other channels saying the same thing about Haltech along with speaking to my local workshops who wont touch it. Best case there's an image problem out there amongst people living and breathing this stuff that the Haltech doesn't do what it's been told and is lunching engines.
@@SilentKilla92 He ia referring to OE software there.
I love me some Fords
Same! Up the Fords. My AU ute is a divvy. Lights and sirens and more. Canopy cameras etc, laptop in the cabin. Falcon_147 on Instagram for more 👍
Noice!
I have an au1xr8 burnout car and an au3 wagon that I've turboed. Awesome cars and yes's I have a vx ss that does strip duties and weekender. Best of both worlds
Is it still running the t5?
So good to see a push rod donk ditch the dizzy and move into the modern world with proper programable ignition.
Why peple still bother with Dizzy's on injected V8's is beyond my.
Only thing I'd change is the drivers seat. Looks like the foam is a bit tired and could do with re-condition
i tryed to get my hands on one of the v8 au's
How fun would this thing be to drive
I actually have one of the 125 REBEL versions :)
The headline, ‘mighty au’ lmao
Hmmm shouldn't have sold my xr8 220😧 that thing is tough👍
Why did you sell it?
mad
I'm au fan especially the 6 got one in my xg ute.old ute weights 300 plus kilos light then any model after it 1993 power to weight.peace
What size throttle body and MAF was being used on this application?
what was the torque?
is fueltech cheaper than haltech ?
Very nice! Stock block or DART 4 bolt? I needs to know!
It would be aftermarket block as the standard one only makes 342
@@shaneholland5701 nah 347 is 3.4 stroke with a .030 overbore. 342 is the stock tickford strokers which obviously didn't require a overbore.
So it's most likely a stock block, you'd be mad not to go atleast 363 if you went aftermarket block.
@@pjm582009 410 actually if your afermarket...
AU’s are a great car’s and are quite light compared to the EL and BA.. love Aussie cars this ones mint as 👌👌
AU and EL have a very similar weight, about 1650kg.
My EL has 1495kg on the rego papers.
Those numbers are usually a little conservative.
@@fullboost your right but not a lot in it with E series and AUs. BAs are lard arse but, they need a turbo Barra or a mod motor to get any real speed.
Time for some E85 and
a BARRA.
What would something like that cost?
Cost?
Building a 347 eventually for my au Fairmont with tickford options going dart block though so I can rev it to 8,000 without cracking the block
Post a quick video once it’s done.
So it'll look like a TS50 yeah 👍
@@lancecooper4646 nah motor wise it won’t be far off will make more power but the body kit is a Fairmont tickford kit very different to the ts50
Thats pretty stout for a NA Windsor
can you let know Who was the engine builder pls
Covers say ford racing but im willing to bet its whoever did the install.
Not wrong about it trying to lift off that dyno.
so how much should I charge other people for using my XR8 to maintain it. How much does this guy charge other people to run his. How much is he charging people to take a look at it if hes taking it to shows.
175kw in non tickford spec!
fuck knows what they saying... but car looks good and makes nice power
Kenne Bell Supercharger
I call BSA on those numbers or it's a very happy dyno
With the cam in the 240s and AFR heads 347ci with the manual box 385hp at the wheels is just about spot on for the combo ,that's around the 500hp at the motor Mark which is very achievable.
@Evan Boubouka all the roller's are joined together so lifting on to one only creates less traction and more slip ,so try again .
I like AUs but only xrs
Go the au
Imagine picking up a 2006 base model turbocharged falcon for $2400 because I did
Show us a bf next!!
its red
ye right remember when they first came out, lol ,ford dealer at |bob binks ford wanted to sell me a ghia and the salesman said that ex or should i say collingwoods own coach was the first owner, lol, till i asked show me the cars factory book, he said its not in the car at the moment as the car just got traded in, lol:) 5Lt white chia, the worst looking ford ever, yet my FORD original XD they only wanted to give me $1,500 for it, so i said nope no way, now the XD 4.9 ghia is worth more than a series 3 tickford?
shows how stuffed it was 3 different places could not get the engine running, hum i wonder why and then to use not one OE ECU ,something is differently wrong there to use a aftermarket ECU to run all the electrics ,that's how much gremlins the electric system has even with a aftermarket ECU used? Everyone says look how good it is, but not one person says this how much i had to spend on it to get it to work?
Or the issue of someone else's work, and dropping the stock setup and for that clean new base.
Oo===oO
It would be helpful if MJ & Sons returned emails & phone calls.
My dad owned one of those and it got stolen
Americans are missing out on the sounds of real freedom............a good sounding v8 😂
