    How would I go back and forth from the on position back to accessory mode? Some cars need this to program keys and it only allows a power, on and start cycle but never the option of back and forth

      This will function just like a factory push to start system. You can accessory without starting the engine by pressing the start button without your foot on the brake pedal.

    I love these kits. I tried figuring out how to do this 15 years ago. Using relay system which was full of problems. I own a Honda Pilot and have thought about buying one. The only thing stopping me is having to use the tag as a key instead of factory cars using proximity key.
    So I guess my question is. Is there any thought into using a proximity key set up? And is this impossible for some reason I don’t know?

    • @JordanDistributorsinc
      @JordanDistributorsinc  Před 2 lety +26

      We have been hesitant to offer a proximity key or passive keyless entry system due to security concerns. Even in new vehicles, such as new Honda and Dodge models, thieves are able to capture the signal from the key from around 30ft away and are then able to repeat the signal and unlock and drive away the vehicle as if they had the actual key. These vehicles are being stolen is surprisingly high numbers. The system that we offer uses encrypted RFID keys and a potential thief would need to be within inches of your key to be able to read the signal. So close that you would notice someone attempting to do so.

      It works right along with them
      The only downside is takeover
      When remote start has the vehicle you have to hit the brake, let the remote start shut off
      And restart the car.
      You CAN take over by scanning the fob and pressing the start button twice NO BRAKE
      HOWEVER, the system will think it's just in "accessory mode" and the led will flash and the car can be stopped by pressing the button ONE time with NO foot on brake, so those is kind of dangerous!!!
      If that does happen
      Place car in N quickly
      Gently touch brake (enough to engage lights but not stop)
      And touch button twice, unless you wait 30 seconds then you will have to scan the key fob!

    • @JordanDistributorsinc
      @JordanDistributorsinc  Před 3 měsíci +2

      You can put the system in to valet mode to keep it unlocked until you scan the key again. Scan the key over the antenna, you will hear two beeps. Then, continue to hold the key over the antenna until you hear a series of beeps. The system will now remain unlocked until you scan the key again.

      How to program Honda key fobs in vehicles with Ghost Key
      1. Enter your Honda, shut all doors, and have your key and fobs to be programmed ready. (All key fobs will need to be programmed at the same time. Any fob not programmed now will be deleted from memory)
      2. Scan the push to start key fob and press the start button 2 times without your foot on the brake, this will put the vehicle in the “On” position. On the fob, press and hold the “LOCK” button for one second.
      3. Release the button on the key fob and press the start button one time, this will power the vehicle back off. Repeat this process twice more.
      4. After the third time of repeating this process you will hear the door locks cycle, your vehicle is in remote programming mode.
      5. Hold the “LOCK” button for one second. Your Honda key fob will be programmed once the locks cycle again. You will now need to press the lock button on any additional fobs that you would like to program and the door locks will actuate to indicate that they have received the signal from the additional fobs.
      6. Exit remote programming mode by pressing the start button one time without your foot on the brake to power the vehicle off.

    • @JordanDistributorsinc

      Our kit uses much higher quality components than that kit. We use USA made Microchip brand chips, higher quality and higher amp rated relays, a higher quality button and horn and also higher quality wiring. We also back all of our products with nearly 24/7 customer support and a full 12-month warranty.
