I think this is wrongly worded.
It's not about the existence of deity, it's about making existence deity...
Man has 2 paths: the world is good, the world is bad. Embroiled in time man really cannot know - a wise man would pragmatically decide the world is good, reconciling any observed evil outside of his conception of time. The reconciliation personified is the Father/deity. This is more sensible than starting from the idea of deity, there is less potential for idolatry.
(I'd be remiss if I didn't mention, good men don't "do nothing" as the world suffocates and poisons children)

The word "geometry" literally means Earth measurement.
The etymology of the word doesn't agree with your opinion.
This discipline was used to construct things here on Earth.
Mathematical rules used to do things like survey lands and build roads and bridges.
