  • To continue the Sacbé marathon for today, this is now the third part of the marathon.
Dive into the rich, textured world of Sacbé with "Aztlán," an album that captures the essence of a band that has always danced on the edge of musical innovation and cultural homage. Recorded at Excalibur Studios in the bustling heart of Studio City, California, "Aztlán" is a testament to Sacbé's ability to blend the traditional sounds of Latin jazz with a contemporary flair that only the Toussaint brothers could conjure. This album is more than just a collection of tracks; it's an auditory journey through time, space, and emotion, paying homage to their Mexican roots while flirting with the intricate complexities of jazz.
Eugenio, Enrique, and Fernando Toussaint, along with an array of talented guest musicians including the legendary Clare Fischer, Milcho Leviev, and Luis Conte, crafted an album that is as profound as it is technically brilliant. From the delicate melodies of "Mijo" to the rhythmically vibrant "Son," each track is a chapter in a story that speaks to the heart of both jazz aficionados and casual listeners alike. The band's musicianship is unparalleled, with each member contributing a unique voice to the collective harmony. This album is a sonic landscape, a reflection of Sacbé's enduring legacy and their relentless pursuit of musical excellence.

WOW!! 1983....but timeless!! What we have here is a virtual smorgasbord of masterful jazz
"smatterings"!! Corea/RTF/Weather Report.........the list goes on. IMHO all we need now is
a more of an "electric edge" like the inclusion of a Scott Henderson guitar!! Thank you flac!!
