Another storm already? Stay safe everyone, and thank you for the update
Is crazy how often do storms happen and how intense they get
Clare is my favourite!
As long as the temperatures high , not Cold , hate the cold ……….. I work outside , Gardening etc .
It was a very informative update.
Yes cold and wet is the worst.
You garden in winter?
we haven't even had any proper cold anyway?! only a few days of it, it has been a very warm mild winter, and if you don't like cold then why live in Britain?!? go somewhere warmer if you don't like it
Mainly reductions, and Edging up .. Twig and Branch removal due to high Winds 😁
Nice and Quiet in Ipswich ,, my windometer (pine cone on 1mtr bit of string) is hardly moving ....Thanks Clare...
Evening met office great update.
Blowing a hooley here in West Yorkshire
Thanks Clare
Thanks, Clare.
Thanks for keeping us all up to date. I'm looking forward to the next deep dive, perhaps on how the ENSO might impact the longer range forecast into spring?
Great delivery 👌
This storm is worse than isha...they saying not as bad😂...im in leeds
Please include the Isles of Scilly.
Gales in Gloucestershire.
An Azores high building there hopefully, cheers.
Scotland referred to as if a county. It is a country with geographical variations.
Very windy in Nottingham currently
What actually qualifies as a storm nowadays? It seems like the bar is set very low. We used to just call it bad weather. Windy wet weather in the winter unbelievable 😆
yeah its all drama now.....just windy.
It's been that way since the hurricaine that hit southern England in the late 1980's the forcast prediction was for it to track into Bay of Biscay, if I recall correctly. As a result Michael Fish was blamed, as he presented the BBC weather. As the years have past any deep low pressure has been highlighted as possible risk, so a force 8 gale is now extreme rather than a force 10 storm.
The fact we’re on this ball hurtling through space at thousands of miles per hour, a bit of wind is acceptable
So 80 mph off the west coast is not a storm ??? , a storm force wind is force 10 , 45/55 knots
Do you want to come and drive this hgv and not be informed on the difference between windy wet weather and 80mph gusts?
Can someone help me please I'm struggling to find out if this is just a wind storm or a hurricane whats the difference 😅
Was everyone OK during storm isha
No. Massive power outages and at least 4 dead.
I didn't loose power but there was an EF 0 tornado
l'm in NC USA. ls Jocelyn immediately after lsha?
Yes it is. About 36 hours between the two.
yup
45 to 55 mph winds with those with speed we can sleep
Last night a metal gate rattled all bloody night😂
On sunday night, My fence broke, my front door blew open and my electric box cover blew off
@@leonclatworthy2799 you won't know what to fix first.
@@melgrant7404 lol
you can't have "blustery breezes" as it''s a contradiction as a breeze is gentle wind, you only need to say *blustery* anyway
A bit of strong wind and it's a '"storm" 😅. People in Kansas and Florida see real storms that destroy infrastructure. The term is used very loosely here.
Yes in the same way when it reaches 30 celsius in summer in the uk they put out heat warnings.
Because storms in England are generally not that bad.. we don’t get extremely dangerous weather, but this still can be considered a storm. Why does it have to be absolutely devastating to be a storm? If there is possibilities of trees falling etc I’m pretty sure people still need to be careful.
45-55 mph in Wales! People will be getting nose bleeds.
Not a storm it’s heavy wind
So whats a storm by definition??
a storm is wind and rain maybe thunder
No disrespect meant but the maximum wind gust figures for Coventry on the main website are absolutely laughable way less than what's currently occurring.
Definitely a climate shift happening thanks Clare
No wind here in Worcester you sure you got your predictions right no wind in the midlands 😂😂
Stop these irrelevant warnings.
My front door blew open during storm isha
What is irrelevant to one is very relevant to others.
It might be irrelevant to you but it might not be to others
If you feel like you want to come and drive this hgv after the irrelevant warnings have stopped, be my guest
Oh David grow up!
