  • This sock knitting project is great for beginners or those who are looking for a way to make their first pair of socks without the challenge of knitting in rounds. It is also a very relaxing and fun project to work on if you have been knitting for a long time, too.
This is Part 3 where you will learn a way to decrease the number of stitches and to transition into stockinette stitch work for the leg part of the sock. In the next video, you will work on the heel shaping part.
Materials I used for this project are: Wool Ease yarn made by @LionBrandYarn and 3.5 mm knitting needles made by @addi-nadeln
If you have been wanting to knit your first pair of socks, but don't feel ready to knit in the round, this project will be a great place to start. This pair of cozy warm socks is knitted on 2 single pointed needles and sewn in the finishing process. It will let you become very familiar with the shaping of a basic sock pattern without the intimidation of knitting in rounds. Many people find it easy to move on to more complicated patterns worked in rounds once they finish a project like this one.
