John Dickerson sat down with President Obama at the White House this week to discuss the presidency, the 2016 campaign, domestic and international news, and more.
I watched the interview this morning. It was such a refreshing break from all the vitriolic politicians and talking heads. I especially liked his comments about center of gravity, staying centered in oneself. I know exactly what he means. While I'm not completely sure smiles generate more smiles which keep getting passed on, the current hate filled political climate has certainly proven hatred is highly infectious and toxic to everyone exposed to it. In any case, I appreciated this positive interview and break from the hatred. Thank you President Obama and thank you John Dickerson.
I love his voice, I love his speaking mannerisms, I love how his self belief instill confidence in others. Here's a mind blowing thought for some of the partisans on either extreme btw: I loved this man as president, I thought he was a fine president. I also think Donald Trump is doing a good job. You don't have to hate one man to love the other. If you take one thing from President Obama it is that you can still care about and be kind to people who disagree with your views.
His intellectual mind and great speech style isn’t just for entertainment...it’s a reflection of who he is; a smart and well fit man to lead. Way more honorable than Trump ever wished to be.
Did anyone else have the feeling that obama in 2008 was a peacemaker that was going to create a sort of mini world peace and talk to any leader to achieve positive change ?

I made a very bad judgement and now I need too own up to that. It is very embarrassing but that's on me. I learned, I just pray more will do the same. Research PLEASE!!!!! Ask questions, get the facts....I wish trump hadn't caused such a division BUT we can ALL learn to talk together, no matter what our views we may not always agree BUT I believe we can agree on some things without attacking each other, just asking questions can solve many things. I have questions that I wished I could ask without being attacked, that's something else I have learned is I was also attacking people. We all must keep in mind that some people have answers to questions that you may not have....I just ask that we try even though it may be difficult. I am very willing if Trump supporters are. We all have at these times very high emotions BUT can we not help each other in relieving some of these emotions without all the anger we ALL share? We are so much better than this.
