P.S that back door last performance is still my favorite music show performance, they honestly looks so happy and they’re really having fun. I think this is the video that really made me stan SKZ, I’m a back door stay hahha. I have watched other performances from other artists, they were good all so synchronized but sometimes some other performances looks somehow too rehearsed, almost like a robot. So when I saw this performance, I was like, wow it’s so fun, I really need to check them and learn more about them. I actually watch most of their live music show performances before watching their MVs. I love their energy when they perform live, it always feels like a concert even if it’s a regular music show performance.
It’s honestly the most wholesome performance ever!!

I always love your reactions Mel but this was definitely one of my top favorites, everything was SO good and made me so happy I was smiling right along with you! I’m so glad you mentioned that about Felix and his dancing! I was absolutely STUNNED and mesmerized by his dance solo!! I’ve been telling people forever his dancing is so amazing and I’m so so happy he’s finally getting more solos and just more moments to be part of the dance parts in general! Him and Hyunjin did amazing, and all of them absolutely killed it! I don’t have any knowledge whatsoever to be able to say why I love it so much, but I have always absolutely loved Felix’s dancing the most and I love watching him!! He’s so captivating to me. I also appreciated the Felix appreciation pause as well lol. And the fact that I.N literally did a fully on BODY ROLL while revealing his abs! 😳💀 I saw that clip of Channie on twitter during that part and it was so funny! I love that they performed charmer too! I hadn’t watched that particular SKZ Talker but like you I’d pretty much seen the whole thing from seeing so many clips 🤣 it’s so good and they were all just happy and silly that day, my favorite kind of SKZ! And I’m so glad you decided to watch that performance at the end as well because no matter how many times I’ve seen it, it never gets old! And that clip of Felix popping out is one of my favorite things in the universe and plays in a continuous loop in my head anytime I’m sad. 😭💙 We were freaking out together over Felix this entire video and I love that for us because it’s one of my favorite things to do lol! Loved it so much Mel!! 💙 Also did you see they announced the track list for the new SKZ replay album!? We’re getting new solo songs for EVERY MEMEBER!!! I’m freaking out I’m so excited!!! Finally I’m getting a Felix solo as well, I’ve been waiting so so long!!

The mics were kinda low, that’s why I noticed, the kids especially hannie tried to shout some parts if they really want to be heard. That’s why seungmin and I.N we’re loving us so aggressively hahahhahha
Also about the table scenario. The kids were literally stray kids hahhaha. Anyway, I’m so proud of the kids they were very respectful and our maknae I.N looks innocent just watching her, so amazed hahah

longish comment today lol. first off felix getting a dance solo made me so happy, because he was injured which made him sit out a lot of performances. it makes me sad to see people exclude him of the dance line because he literally is good as we can see. i hope people recognize his talent and stop doing that! on a completely different note hyunjin is like one of the best performers in 4th gen, he belongs on the stage. also yeah i watched that skz talker with you for the first time and i felt like i basically watched it already because sooo many iconic clips are in it. lee know looks like he would be in twilight or the vampire diaries i just feel like he has those features that would work for a vampire aesthetic lmao. also i feel you mel i say the same thing about hyunjin every-time i see him, it annoys the people around me though haha.

I’m not a musician but I think the balance between mics and music wasn’t good at AAA, not only with SKZ.

I think the mics were on low, because the skz basically had to scream the lyrics into the mic and that's why sometimes they even seemed out of breath and the ones who didn't scream, sounded low 😂

At AAA I think their mics stayed low but as they realised they started projecting their voices way more - I think that's why IN sounded so aggressive (even Lix) as it progressed, they were trying to be heard above the backing vocals. I've seen them do this on other stages where their mics are too low. It sucks cause the sound board operators need to do a better job and if its deliberate (which we know a lot of broadcast venues like) they need to respect the artists' wishes. Nothing wrong if some would like more assistance from the backing track but for those who make the effort and want you to hear their live vocals (even if not perfect, duh - dancing) Respect that and let us hear them.
Anyway - SKZ always gonna let you know they are signing - mics on - even if low😂

Stray Kids had quiet microphones, except that Han had a rather loud microphone. Therefore, those who tried to sing louder, those were heard better. But I guess in the dance, trying to shout over your microphone was hard and added extra effort. But what can not be taken away, they really tried to sing louder so that they could be heard, even if in the end the voices sounded more harsh
I watched the entire broadcast, and there some of the speakers had very poorly tuned microphones. It even seemed to me that they were turned on very loudly to someone, but in theory they should not have been, because some of the participants sang only with the minimum volume of the microphone and they could not be heard. As a result, it turned out that in the middle of a song that was even in sound, suddenly someone seemed to be screaming into a microphone and breathing was heard, and the voice broke, it did not sound good at all. I figured they had the microphone turned on so loudly by mistake. Apparently, the microphones were well adjusted for solo performers, for whom it was important to show the beauty of the vocals. And the groups had their microphones set up in a hurry, because there were a lot of them, and some of them had their microphones completely turned off.

Hi Mel, do try checking out Kard sometime. They’re a coed group that consists of 4 members,2 girls somin and jiwoo and then bm and jseph They produce bangers and are more of a niche group like stray kids and have a really unique sound.They were there at the awards too though I don’t really recommend their award performances since they’re always only given around 5 minutes or less .They have lots of concert vids though since they’re more popular in Spanish speaking countries and are on tour a lot just like ateez!
They’ve been around since 2016 and haven’t gotten their first win yet so I hope more people get to know them.
