The show EUREKA was really prophetic. Not with specific events. But watching it back through recently I realized how much they got right with science in the future….. even lab grown chicken.

We were starved and there was a mall in the lower portion of the hotel, with a bunch of fast food places. we went to one I ordered a hamburger and my wife had chicken. Later that night at the reception I started to get a headache and then an upset stomach. within a half hour I was so sick and the headache was so bad I could hardly see. One of the men who lived in Montreal asked where I had eaten. When I told him he immediately took me to the hospital. It turned out that it was legal to sell horse meat in parts of Canada and people not used to it became violently ill. The doc at the hospital gave me medication for my stomach and pain killers for my headache and warned me to ask before ordering. Lesson learned.

I think I would like getting to choose what happens in a movie.

Actually horse meat is very expensive, very good, high in calcium and eastbto digest. A friend of mine with stomach cancer was suggested by his doc to consume horse meat. So there is no way it was substitute for cow meat. It would be a business disaster.
