    • @RCVideoReviews

      I think 60-70" planes are an awesome sweetspot between portability, visibility, and flyability in less than calm conditions. Value is there too. Moderate shipping/electronics costs.

      Looking forward to seeing how it performs on a bigger model. I know this PnP setup was vetted rigorously and I have quite a bit of faith in the testers, so I do have high expectations.

    I just got the PNP 67" Laser 260 with QUICK connect/disconnect CONNECTORS in the fuselage and wing - What a JOY not to have to DECIDE AND INSTALL all the components - it is already done by the factory in the AEROBATIC BALSA plane - YAHOO!!!! - Now we just have to look forward to PNP or RxR LARGER than 67" AEROBATIC BALSA planes AND designing the HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL tail feathers to be SCREW ON like some manufactures have done with their FOAM planes 😂👏👍

      @RCVideoReviews  Před 11 měsíci

      I just flew the 67" Laser this weekend and it's such a spectacularly good plane. Great choice. Did you get Red or Yellow?
      Good times we're living in with regard to the hobby. There are some amazing products out there these days.

      I've been avoiding bipes due to space and time. I have eyeballed that plane a half dozen times though. The 58" is in stock too.

    Hi there, I was wondering does this have a motor box inside the cowl just for electric setup? I don't like it when manufacturers make a secondary motor box bolted onto another originally setup for Gas engines in this size model?

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  Před 11 měsíci +1

      It looks like electric only to me. Here's the ARF assembly manual and they don't show an add-on box: extremeflightrc.com/assets/images/67%20extra260%20arf%20build%20guide.pdf

  • @marksears558
    @marksears558 Před 3 měsíci

    First of all, I enjoy your reviews and details. I was out of the hobby for about 10 years and recently got back in. Electric is still relatively new to me, so I've been flying the eflite foamies, but now I want to step my game back up. In your experience, which is better, extreme flight or skywing? In the 60 to 67 area, which is your favorite flyer? I've been eyeing the skywing yak 54 60", but you have flown several beautiful aircraft in that area, lol. Lastly, I noticed you fly with radiomaster. I'm currently with spektrum, but I'm looking for other options. I'm looking at the TX16S and didn't know if it would be worth the change. I'd appreciate the info you can give. Thanks for the content, and keep it extreme.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  Před 3 měsíci +1

      You really should get on discord (link is in description of every video I post). Short answers:
      EF and SW are equitable substitutes. Most notable differences are the graphics.
      I believe Spektrum is so wildly overpriced. I wouldn't use their gear. EdgeTX, ELRS, and Radiomaster for me.

    Someday I hope to be a good enough pilot to invest $1200. While I have lots of stuff for smaller planes in my stash, I have little for this plane so the PNP version would be for me.

    • @re3065
      @re3065 Před 11 měsíci

      The 67" Laser 260 and 67" Edge 540 are only $1049 so you can invest in a LARGER BALSA plane a little sooner...😉😊 Also, BTW if you can find a PNP FMS Extra 330S 78.7" FOAM plane like I got when it came out - paid $529 with discounts - and before it got discontinued, you will LOVE it

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  Před 11 měsíci

      It took me a lot of years before I would consider spending this much on a plane, but after I took the plunge, I have a hard time going back. Also keep in mind, there's nothing budget about the hardware. It's all top shelf gear.

  • @johnfaustus1
    @johnfaustus1 Před 11 měsíci

    Great video, was considering this since its release. A couple of (tangential) points:
    1. I realize you are trying to turn this in to a full-time gig and/or want to start getting a lot of freebies. Can't fault a man for his grift. However, you haven't disclosed in many review videos whether you purchased the plane without any interaction or 'consideration' from the manufacturer. It was implied in your 'FMS series', but it's not always clear. Please do so (it needn't be vocal - it can simply be boilerplate for that video).
    2. If your goal is to start getting freebies and payouts from companies, be aware that real RC guys are going to turn away quickly (like they have with RCSaylors, BrianPhillips, HobbyView, DroneCamps, and literally 100s of others); no hobbyists take those channels seriously as they will never say anything untoward about the product being 'reviewed'. In a sense, you'll become simply another ad-conduit/ad-copy/mouthpiece for HH/FMS/Multiplex/FlexInnovations/whatever. --> I'd hate to see that happen to this channel.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  Před 11 měsíci

      I 100% disclose sponsored products. No disclosure = no sponsor. Suggest you keep watching and learn more about the channel czcams.com/users/live6iOVhe1HOB0?feature=share
      Regarding the "consumer" channels, I'll just keep my opinion to myself on those...

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  Před 11 měsíci

      Every sponsored product says it in the video, in the YT tag which places a "sponsored" overlay in the video, and in the description.

  • @Papa_Shorty

    I’m gonna guess this is not a beginner plane.

    • @PockoRC
      @PockoRC Před 11 měsíci +1

      definitely not. highly capable 3d plane but with turned down throws it would be docile to fly basic patterns on

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yeah, that's the thing. With the rates turned down they're excellent sport planes. Wings are symmetrical and lack dihedral, so if the corresponding flight characteristics are ok with you, then you do not need to be an expert to fly these.
      They have light wing loading, excellent ground handling, superb power to weight, and an astoundingly neutral balance in flight.
