Bloody hell, but the Danish Style is absolutely mesmerising.
I sincerely enjoy this new production. Bringing to storyline up to date makes it very enjoyable. It did not deter from the original story. Bravissimo!

Very nice dancing. The editing is way too busy, and at times annoying. The video should be about the dancing, not about . . . gee, let's see how many cut-aways and overly busy different angles I can squeeze in. This detracts from the flow of the movement. There were even shots of just the feet dancing in some of the solos. Take it from Fred Astaire, who always insisted on full body shots during a dance.

Yes it got so annoying I quit watching as I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be watching. Director got too busy interjecting his genius ideas.
I couldn’t agree more! I get so tired of superb dancers & performances being totally ruined by poor camera directing!!! 😡😡😡

Fabulous! Such good dancing. Loved the more modern setting and costumes. Loved the variety of characters in the crowd. I wonder what this production did with the Blue Grotto underwater costumes? Looks like a total winner! The Teresina and Gennaro look like they could be real Neopolitans. Is the orchestration different?

The clothes are insignificant, it has nothing to do with the old version of Napoli by Danish Ballet...something bad happened meanwhile...

Everything seemed so slapdash I thought I was watching a rehearsal and was 20 minutes in before I realized it was the new version. The Danes brought it to SoCal several years ago, about 50 miles away from me down in Costa Mesa. When I read the reviews, I was glad I didn't waste the time, the gas, and the money to watch the desecration of such a lovely ballet.

Ni tú ni nadie. Es cosa de Nikolaj Hübbe, el nuevo director artístico. Está cambiando todas las producciones tradicionales de Bournonville, añadiendo coreografía que es completamente anacrónica. Un desastre.

I enjoyed the clip but I wish the extras would show natural enthusiasm for it. Some do but others seem either bored , uninterested, or overdoing their role which seems artificial. This sadly detracts from the performance. This is a shame since it was exceedingly good.

Source: I was cast as the maid in nutcracker (along with some dancing roles) and ever since I always got pulled in to be a background character when they were needed at my studio. I like to think I’m good at it at this point!
