Yes, i noticed that this is one of very few figure companies where a lot of their figure prices don't drop after release. I'm not the kind who preorders figures, but this one made it into my list of exceptions.

Yes I'm seeing two very different main types of figures collectors on both extremes, where the first type wants to focus on the figure only, and the second kind wants the whole package to be as extravagant as possible regardless of the amount of space taken. eStream's figures are mostly targeted at the latter category. My mic is normally not produced in that blue color - it was a limited version (though I'm sure there are still new ones out there). I picked that color because i thought it would be a good contrast to my yellow chair lol.
I abosulutey agree, she is worth her price. I love that she doesn't have any effect parts. She definitely looks more kingly and regal than the GSC Lanturia. I love her face more and villain Artoria was an autoPO. I hope mine arrives soon, my 22" high shelf is ready 🙂
It’s not exactly a big bargain because the shipping costs can be high depending on where one lives though. Also, I feel that they really wasted space with the needlessly big base. If she was sitting on the throne, it would make more sense to include the throne. But, simply having it as a background is just not useful. Could have been a picture with not much difference.
Yes, where you live is a bigger factor for figures like these. For my case it only cost me 220CNY (US$31) to ship this from a figure store in China to my country by air. I order some figures from China instead of Japan, case by case basis. Especially in occasions where the figure is both huge, and the value is predicted not to drop after release, because shipping from China is a lot cheaper.

guess I snatched both best and worst deals of 2023. First this Altria you reviewed, I got it from AmiAmi around 340$ shipping included yesterday. and 1/3 2B dx… just leave it at that. wonder why only a few channels review this absolute gorgeous piece🤔
One thing you need to know about youtubers in general, a large percentage of them just want views and subscribers. By any means necessary. So, in general, a lot of figure youtubers avoid reviewing figures and resort to doing loot videos, because reviews don't get them many views. You are only talking about one single figure from one single game or Anime - the potential audience is limited. If you were to cover just several figures in one single loot video your potential audience who may be interested increase in folds. That is why many figures in existence, especially the less popular ones, do not have even one single review on CZcams no matter how good it is. Yes, I'm the same too, i want views and subscribers, but the difference is, i will not sacrifice what i like, to do things that only other people like. If i love the figures i bought, I will review it even if that figure isn't popular and won't earn much views. I try to strike a balance between appealing to everyone, and also making myself happy by doing whatever i want.
@@EXkurogane I get what you mean, in the end all CZcamsrs goal is to make viewers like their personality enough to the point that they will watch whatever content uploaded. But what I mean by only a few CZcamsrs review or mention this figure is usually when I search in CZcams even foreigners not doing it, half a dozen of Japanese channels will pop up no matter what but this time almost none. But seems like I need to put it in Japanese instead of using English keywords as usual.
She looks amazing, I wish we could've gotten the figure without the base haha it takes so much space 😅 She is sold out on AmiAmi, eStream barely makes enough supply of their figures 😆
The main issue with the space part, in my opinion, is the height of 52cm. The area coverage of 31 x 41cm is not that far off many other scale figures out there with a dynamic pose.
Thanks! I'm using nikon Z6 for the figure shots, with 2 different lenses, Nikon Z 40mm f2 and Nikon Z 105mm 2.8S MC macro for the close ups. I also have a second camera filming simultaneously from a different direction, a Nikon Z30 with a stock 16-50mm kit lens, allowing me to show different angles for stuff like unboxing section. Good cameras do help, but the main key for doing photos and videos is lights. You need to spend money on studio lights, and know how to set them up. It's not a weird question - this channel originally was a toy / figure photography channel which i used to host videos for other sites long ago, but in order to grow the channel i focused on figure news and reviews for the past 3 years because they have wider appeal. I will be back making figure photography content in the near future in addition to figure reviews, so camera related questions are perfectly welcome.
This would be down to personal preference. I dislike the extremes of both sides (overly simple round disc bases, or very messy diorama bases), but for this Altria it's sort of like a replica of what we saw in the Movie so i'm totally cool with it.

For many fgo figure the price drop will be huge. For eStream brand specifically I'm being careful because most of their figures either become rare or expensive shortly after release

So i didn't preorder this on day 1, but rather, roughly a month before release (additional preorder slot opened, presumably because someone cancelled - I was waiting for that opportunity).
Well, i suppose this is eStream's trademark. They made sure to give every figure they make a mini diorama of some kind. And since you do know that I'm a diorama figure photographer, yes, this is right up my alley - especially when this figure does not have any transparent effect parts floating around (which I really dislike).

Figure looks great - I like she's standing on the steps - but the throne...just looks overkill.
