Selfishly I’m very excited about this cos I grew up in Orange County but my mum had a limited visa where she couldn’t work so when my parents split up we had to come home. Living vicariously through you now! We still go there once a year to visit other family but loveeeeeeee Cali. Pls post every part of the process from here. Packing, travel day, EVERYTHING!!!!!

So exciting! Moving to California changed my life 💯 I live in Oakland, but I visit friends/chosen fam in LA & it’s a dope place to be. Hope you land with ease & find a solid community of people to help you feel at home 💗 Also LOVE the half marathon idea! I’m training for my first 10k right now, but I aspire to do a half marathon one day.

Yay! Welcome to LA! I grew up in Culver City and love that it’s in the middle. You’re near the 10 and 405 so it takes you less time in my opinion to get most places. You’re also near major arteries like Venice Blvd and Washington Blvd so you don’t necessarily need to take the freeway. It’s safer than other parts of LA because it’s its own city with its own fire and police department. The weather is also better than the beach cities (warmer less gloomy) or the more inland areas (not as hot).

oooooo wow like many others i’m not a usual commenter but I am a bay area native (if you don’t know where that is you will learn the california lingo soon 😉) and lived in LA for 5 years before moving to east coast! so excited for you to explore La and all that california has to offer! it’s great that you will be traveling around! Also i’m so curious which neighborhood you ended up choosing but totally get it if you keep that info private. Hope you enjoy the weather, I used to love running all along the flat west LA streets with great views and temps. get some nice beach runs in along PCH!
