Jungkook is the most versatile vocalist in BTS in my opinion . This cover had me crying 😭. In my opinion no one is at his level at this point. He understands singing in a way noone else does .

Harry's is more of like telling to himself and Jungkook's is like he is saying to someone desperately. Jungkook's raw emotions is working more intimately with the storytelling of the song. Also, after this cover i'm convinced that Jungkook is the best storyteller singer we have in our era. This man is insane🔥

jungkook doing covers is something i always enjoy, especially when its a song i really like so i can hear the different approaches he chooses to take with them.

Jungkook has randomly but consistently put out covers of different songs throughout the years, and he always nails them. He really makes them his own. Even this one where it is so close to the original, yet it is so different in the smallest ways. Jungkook just makes it his own, as if it was made for him. This is also kind on a new style we hear from Jungkook, and I was kind of surprised at how well it fit him.
I always feel like I am underestimating Jungkooks ability as an artist, even though he is my bias and one of my fav artists in general. its very strange, but either way. He is consistently surpassing my expectations. This was so good.

He released this on the day they have completed exactly 2 years since their last offline concert. We are not sure if it’s a coincidence or he meant it because he dropped it on CZcams and dipped , we heard nothing from him so we don’t know for sure if he intended this this cover for this exact date or just randomly updated it
BTS don't seem to just drop stuff randomly... I tend to think the date is relevant, but that's just me.

As much as Jk is good at his higher register, his lower register is just so underratedly used. Bighit should utilized it more, it pierces your souls.

altho they did say that even harry struggled with his own song and even had to manipulate digitally to lengthen the notes and that JK’s version is unnecessarily clean.

his voice is just so goooodddd and he's improved so much too. in the earlier days namjoon used to say that jungkook had to work harder at putting emotion in his singing (although his voice made me cry from the beginning lol) but you can actually see how much he's improved on it, even in a language that's not his first which makes it even more impressive. the emotion this cover provoked in me whew

This cover is so great that had me listening to it on loop since the upload! His lower chest voice is so charismatic and helps the song a lot to build up! I am in tears and it's worth it. You mentioned BTS recent concert being live, but the most recent concert I saw was the "Permission To Dance", PTD concert a week ago, which was live but not in front of a live audience but just made for streaming and as a prep for the upcoming concerts they are doing in Los Angeles. The reason I'm mentioning it is because during the concert Jungkook confessed that because of not performing in front of army for so long (2 years actually) he was losing his way musically out of discouragement and really needed to perform in front of a live audience. I think the recent covers he done is his way of coping with it, and the song "Falling" expresses how he is feeling right now.
his voice holds a lot of emotion and this cover holds a lot of meaning ‘cause in sunday’s concert he talked about how his passion and the fire inside of him was burning out do to this covid situation and not being able to see army in real life.
this is just my opinion but while in the original song, i think harry is talking more about a romantic relationship due to the latest events i think jungkook is taking the song in a fan-artist relationship and working relationship and i’m falling out of love with his passion

It's such a great point Waleska makes about learning the meaning when tour not a native English speaker. Same goes for the reverse. When I was in choir when we sang songs in different languages we also went over the meaning behind the song before learning lyrics and pronunciation. That way we knew what words to emphasize and when. It's so important. You can tell JK "feels" the lyrics!

jk dropped this out of nowhere and i don't think the members even knew he recorded a cover bc hobi posted on weverse asking when did jk record this. But armys think he dropped this on Oct. 29 bc it marks 2 years since their last concert and jk always takes into consideration the meaning of the lyrics he covers so yeah 💔
I feel like this song has a connection about what he said in the last PTD concert. He mentioned there that because of pandemic, it feels like his fire when it comes to singing is slowly fading away from him. It's like, because of a very long time without face to face concerts with armys, his passion as singer is really affected. Considering that this Falling's message is not totally about love. If you look at its deeper meaning, the song is about a man who is afraid to become someone who he doesn't want for him to become. So i feel like jungkook is somehow feeling this way. He misses performing on stage again. He misses armys so much. And the fact that he release this cover on the day, when it's exactly 2 years since their last world tour.

I was and am OBSESSED with Fine Line as an album. And the fact that JK covered the emotional crux (in my opinion) of it is nuts to me! I mean when you look at it he has to go through the journey of 5 songs to get to that point of sorrow and acceptance and actually looking at himself after that relationship… JK nailed it - the honesty in his voice is not something just anyone can achieve!

If JK ever does a cover it's definitely because he is saying something to Army, through the lyrics. In the PTD concert, he mentioned that he is losing passion & and it's hard because of the present situation, so I guess he just conveyed it through this cover. I am just hoping their LA Live comeback will boost them up & they feel better. He is so relatable cause most of the time we feel something but fail to find the exact words & we do choose a song or a quote to say it. It's like that. At least I believe so.

The story behind this is that jungkook expresses every emotions with his singing, he is someone who doesn't share his feelings easily with anyone. And he had a hard time in covid era, he said in the concert after the covid that he felt like his passion was dying as he couldn't see the armys
