I have only 30 chickens and use lots of kitchen leftovers incl banana / potatoe / advocado / etc. peels. Also leaves from different trees : Moringa, Lucina, Tamarind, papaya, cassava, etc. I boil them for 1 min - leave it cool down, then blender. Use rice bran @ USD 0.14/kg. Feeding costs about 1 dollar cent / chicken / day.
Young chicks need a bit more protein so you have to be careful. Maybe give them some more fish/meat leftovers or mix 1 egg/day for 12 chicks - here very cheap (USD 0.12/egg).

If it is just 2-3 different feeds, you don't need to have a mixer. You just throw a can of A and 1 or 2 of B (Acc to the formula) into the feeder. The chickens will mix it.
