- Here's a full guide to the brand new dekes in NHL 18.
-Between The Legs
Over the past few years, players have been pulling off highlight reel plays by passing or shooting the puck between their legs. In NHL® 18, you will be able to pull off the exact same moves that you see NHL stars leveraging to create different passing and shooting lanes.
-Backhand Heel Drag
The Backhand Heel Drag is a powerful move when used properly. You can use it to outwait a goalie or defender to get around them, take a wrist shot or pulling off a cheeky flip to beat the goalie against the momentum of the play.
-One-Handed Tucks
NHL players are always finding a way to pull off a creative finish to their dekes, and that includes the classic one-handed tuck. In NHL® 18, you can do a one-handed deke to cut around a defender or go for a stylish one-handed tuck deke that goes against your momentum like you see happen on breakaways and in shootouts at the NHL level. Timing is key with these moves as the speed and direction of which you are skating will make or break how successful the deke is.

8:29 This deke was my favourite from last gen. I remember doing it with my 99 Crosby always on the blueline, no one was ever expecting it and it was always a easy break / goal because well, it's Crosby.

Pro-tip, Datsyuk came up with the 'flip' play to respond to goalies always reading his pull. That's definitely a trick for player goalies.

I have a problem with breaking my xbox controllers left stick when skating fast. It then drifts this motion making impossible to play. I have since switched to ps4 and have had no problems. However, I'm going an xbox league in February. Do you have any suggestions on more durable controllers for the xbox? Thanks and great videos!

You forgot the Kyle Turris deke is back in this game. Go to a deep forehand, press LB, right stick down, left stick to the left for lefties, right for righties

can someone please tell me if they took out the between the legs deke from the previous nhls? im talking about the forehand+L1/LB. it was one of the most useful dekes to use, and im playing the beta and those controls no longer initiate that deke. someone please answer, thanks!

Just did datsyuk flip in shootout got a diamond achievement (flip biscuit)
back in my day you have to manually do the one hander and aim the shot in the net *eyeroll* and that was after we were doing hybrid spin behind the back 360 fake slapshots hehe =p darn kids ....

If you pull back on the right analog stick it wins up for a snapshot , and does not do the giant toe drag
