Again, these good old linear arithmetic sounds, including the drum kit is excellent. Yes, I’m still enjoying my stunning Roland E 30 and my other keyboards of course. Before Christmas 2023, I salvaged a stunning Roland E 70 which has a different sound chip and still brilliant. There is a lovely flow string sound on the E 70 which yes it’s brilliant but I honestly love the slow string sound on board the E 30 which is one of the extra 64 sounds on that keyboard and no, I’m not parting with either of them, the E 70 or the E 30.
I recently picked up one of these for free. Somebody at my local marketplace was getting rid of it because it didn't work anymore they said. They also had lost the power cord. I ordered a new power cord off Amazon and it now works fine. Whoop whoop
Excellent performance and an excellent old vintage keyboard. I’ve actually got the model E 30 which was introduced by retailers back in 1990. The E 30 has a few extra features on board including an extra 64 sounds giving a total of 128. One of the extra sounds found on the E-30 not found on the other models is a wonderful slow string sound and a couple of extra base sounds which to are fantastic. You may be aware, your keyboard and my E 30 run on the linear arithmetic (LA) sound engine, including the drum set and again, absolutely fantastic, though very dated now,, but my E 30 is extremely sentimental and an extreme rarity, which holds a lot of character so I will certainly not be selling, my E 30 as it also comes in so handy for my music production/hobby.
Do i have more? Of course! This is my passion and profession. I love my Roland FA08. Korg X5D is also one my favs because of it’s weight and size. Kurzweil MicroPiano and a couple of old Yamaha home keyboards because of nostalgia.
Sorry, but most of these sounds are my user sounds. Ensoniq provides a powerfull edition block, great samples and filters. You have to tweak the sounds for your personal taste.
I acquired this synthesizer keyboard in 1989; this synthesizer keyboard reflects my past and my loves :))

I have e70, but that shakuhachi sound was surprised me, sounds almost like shakuhachi from Roland D-50.
Thanks for the demo and upload!

P.S, how long have you owned your awesome E-20 and have you got other keyboards? I’ve a few other stunning more modern keyboards.

Theres one in my local classifieds for $125 (Canadian dollars) - is it worth this, you think?
