- The new beast awoken is here on dragon ball xenoverse 2 and of course that means we have to have some skill tests against other awokens to see how good it truly is and today I compare it to SSB! Let me know after watching which of these awokens is the better between the two on dragon ball xenoverse 2!

Why is nobody testing out SSBE? It got a huge buff!
Ssb is better though with a right super soul it literally gains ki.
I have been still using that awoken with that divinity unleashed and our two strength aren't just added together super soul it's great

I did
Super Saiyan Blue Evolved is now technically better, due to the new buff, but even so, only with a super soul that has auto-ki recovery. Super Saiyan Blue Evolved still drains ki quite fast, without auto-ki recovery, so it's necessary.
If you have the Gogeta super soul "Our Two Strengths Aren't Just Added Together" then you will gain ki in ssb and that super soul basically turns ssb in to a stronger super saiyan form since you can't ever empty the ki bars completely because your still gaining ki thus keeping the form.
using emperor's death beam in ssb is great as I won't be drained out of super saiyan blue because of the ki gain.
Vegeta's super soul "I think I'm finally warmed up now!" Is better as it boost all your attacks and gives auto ki regen as well, I use it with SSJB and it smacks😆

Gogeta SS is better for SSB Evolved. Normal SSGSS Vegeta's warm up SS is better

Beast, I'd say, is really good for raids and grinding with a ki build for saiyans
Beast is great for other races too, damage buffs are insane and they get a stamina break combo now

@@KeepingKarma It works sometimes online, but yes, it's not very consistent, unfortunately.
Beast Form can actually be used for all races, while Super Saiyan Blue can only be used for Saiyans. Beast Form also gives you a new combo that has a stamina break combo as well. Honestly, when it comes to Awoken Skills, it really all comes down to which CAC type you're using, and which one you want to use.
Beast with divinity unleashed goes CRAZY. Also, Core Breaker got better in this update. S/O to Steedoj for pointing this out

Interesting. If I want to use Beast Form, I'll use Jiren's SS 'This Heat... I'll Have to Match it!'.
Basically it does :
Once only when hit with an Ultimate Attack]
Boosts all attacks. (L - 15%)
Reduces damage taken from all attacks. (M - 10%)
Boosts movement speed. (M - 10%)
Boosts amount of Ki restored. (M - 10%)
Boosts stamina recovery speed. (M - 10%)
Overall, I think this SS will b great for Beast Form (For me personally) though u must take damage & get hit by an Ult to activate it.
If you use the shadow crusher skill to break through ults, jiren super soul still activates.

I love the look of Beast mode but I have always loved using blue evolved due to its power increase as well as stamina regen ability so glad they fixed its ki drain honestly even doing PQ all the time with it you gotta get your timing right on when you’re using it and how you’re using it
I think the best thing about Beast though is the fact that there is no drawback it’s kinda like potential unleashed when it comes to having no drawback in some ways, it’s more powerful and someways it’s not from what I heard about potential unleashed and boost every stat by 15 except for health, Stamina, and ki and I have used potential unleashed many times, and it’s a very good awaken skill

Probably because Super Saiyan Blue is overall more recommended, and effective now. It drains ki slower, and it just got a new defense buff, so now you're taking slightly less damage, not much more damage, like before, to opponent attacks. The only thing you're really sacrificing is the slightly less damage, and defense, but it's worth it in the long term.
blue is amazing now, can even use emperor's death beam and NOT lose the form when before you'd return to base

If you wanna make beast the ultimate street fight 4 Akuma glass cannon, equip toppo's super soul “I’ve cast aside everything for this”
NOTE DO NOT "fully knock away" to go beast as even the longest knockaway isnt long enough use justice blade instead as its the cheapest safest way of using it
Beast benefits Frieza race the most imo. Golden gives 35% to ki based supers and you take 15% extra damage. Beast gives 30% to EVERYTHING, and 20% extra damage taken. Beast is an overall better deal, as it makes Frieza race much more well rounded at dealing damage, and makes them far more viable for using strike skills. Plus, the purple-red lightning aura suits them extremely well, and you don't have to deal with the dumbass Gohan wig that's crazy tall.
With the buffs the Blue forms got SSB has got to be the best awoken skill in the game period you get plenty of damage for all attacks, a slight buff to defence, a decent stamina recovery and speed boost all at the expense of Ki drain that is hardly noticable

@@lilweedle6013 ??? That's exactly the case when you use Blue with the "I'm finally warmed up" soul. The ki drain becomes 0, the stamina recovery is enhanced, the damage is the same as Evolution's (and by extension better than Beast), there's a slight defense buff (compared to Beast's major nerf), and you're way faster than everybody else.

I don't remember what it's called I will have to look at it again but I know SSBE also got a massive buff and in My opinion I still think it's better SSB if not the best awoken skill In game. Yes I know the Ki drain but just use Divinity Unleashed which is great and fu super soul
@@lilweedle6013 Fu's super soul is only usable in PvE and is hardly reliable at all in PvP you won't have much uptime using it, DBS Gogeta's super soul is a much better fit for SSBE considering you will have permanent uptime and will slow down SSBE Ki drain almost entirely but even then I still think SSB is better because with the Vegeta super soul you have permanent SSB uptime, but with SSBE levels of damage, and a ton of movement speed

Beast mode would be really good with a completely strike-based human because humans with full Ki because if I remember correctly humans with full ki have increased strike attacks
Beast is arguably better for raids, but Super Saiyan Blue is better for essentially everything else. It has relative damage, far better defense, far better stamina recovery, and a far faster activation time.
All at the expense of very slowly draining ki, which isn't an issue if you have a super soul that has auto-ki recovery. Even without it, the ki draining is so slow, it's not much of a problem, it's fairly sustainable. It's a no-brainer.

🧠-I just watched Steedoj recent video on beast and he used Gamma 2’s super soul “You need to be more careful” so if he got stamina broken during the beast transformation he would get his stamina fully back and be ready to continue the battle. Genius strategy!
I personaly love the new options we have with all the buffs and stuff.
I think:
Nr.1 Ssj Blue (just perfected now, gotta love it)
Nr.2 PU (overall good and can keep up with everyone)
Nr.3 Ssj God (great for pvp and pve)
Nr.4 Blue Evo (great form but still that ki drain sucks)
Nr.5 Beast (cause the long animation scene and the damage taken)
honestly, Awoken Skill are more about the preference that someone has, since not everyone can use the same exact one.
In a Melee focused fight Vegeta God's Super Soul will make SSB quite OP now. Obviously you need to connect the 3rd hit. 30% increase in Damage and Ki Recovery (SS) + 25% Damage Increased (SSB) = 55% Damage Increased, kinda OP right?
And if you're opponent goes Beast, you get an extra 20% for 1.75x damage :D

SSB = +1.25x damage.
Vegeta Soul at +3 = 1.20x damage
vs a Beast cac = 1.20x damage (since they take 20% more damage)
Total damage multiplier: 1.75x
@@wilcoxway Well, just to mention, Vegeta SS at 3rd level increase damage by 30%, not 20%. As it is 10% each level, and also Damage Increased provided by Beast is 30%, 20% is the resistence debuff, and if I'm not mistaken Beast also increase Ki Recovery by +20%.

Vegeta SS at +3 and SSBlue is 55% more damage.
If you attack a player using Beast form, you get an additional 20% damage because that player has -20% defense.
Therefore, you have +75% more damage. AKA, a 1.75x damage multiplier.
Tbh just use Beast for PVE & Blue for both.
Also don't sleep on Blue evolved, run Gogeta SS "our two strengths aren't just added together" for Blue evolved & you won't even have to worry about KI drain.
For SSGSS just use Vegeta's warm up SS
Appreciate the vid on this currently LV up on playstation since I switched from Xbox definitely going SSB and SSBE if and when
love the animation for beast, but it's just too long when it comes to PVP, and the fact that it consumes 5 bars of ki makes it hard to finish your opponent in style (with a full combo or a finish with your ultimate) in PVP, so if you want to do so you better have something like burst charge, overall I feel like SSB is still a better PVP transformation, I love the fact that SSB and SSBE got buffed, the ki drain and the nerf on meditation really sucked earlier
Glad to see these changes. Sad that Turn Golden and PU did not scale with it.
Why is the freza race being ignored we are literally supposed to be the opposite of the monkeys. Ssb and ssbe keep getting buffs but they nerfed golden form so far in to the ground it’s stupid

they need to fix some of the Giant Ki ball ultimate Like Divine wrath it used to be very good now its not worth using. I wish they would just remove the punch from super black kamehameha rose its to slow and cant be use in combo
Thanks to the buff I don't need meditation anymore but if I were to use it again it's gonna be for Godly Display for extra damage and with Beast Mode instant KO move

That combo that you get with Beast form is pretty OP if executed properly takes down almost a full bar and I wasn’t even using a strike character when I tested it on my game
It depends on how strong your basic attack damage is, on your build, and what super soul you're using. I have a QQ Bang that has 0 to basic attacks, and I have 90 attribute points to my basic attacks, and with the new raid-exclusive Gotenks super soul, I'm able to get 11,000 basic attack damage, just with Beast's unique combo alone. That's a little over an entire health bar, just with a simple combo string. Beast is no joke.

I noticed that when I tried it out I’m not sure if it’s more powerful than blue evolution, though when it comes to strikes because I remember battling Beerus on the story mode, and it kinda seemed like my punches were cutting through him like butter
Great video I love beast the most but SSB is better overall. I am able to use so many moves with beast tho cuz the Ki recovery is crazy
I love to look of beast and the combo is sick. But sadly I'm gonna have to stick with Mt trust ssg and ssb awoken skills. Now with the buff to ssb I can freely use any super souls I want to buff both the ssg form and ssb past anything beast can do and plus you take less damage too and have better stamina recovery with blue.
My problem with beast is the transformation time

Mine is the fact that Beast takes the 5 bars of ki from you when you activate it. I really dislike that. The much lower defense was enough of a debuff, they didn't need to make it take away your ki upon activation. They should have let you keep it, like all the other awoken skills.

No. Beast makes u take 20% more damage and Blue makes u take 5% LESS. If u get hit once in beast ur pretty much done. Blue is better

Can anyone inform me of the actual numbers for the "ki auto recovery"? Like in comparison to "this awoken has a -10% ki drain" "auto ki recovery has a +X% ki gain" idk if that's a way it CAN be measured but 🤷♂️

SSb and ssg did the same damage when I tested it. If you use the im finally warmed up super soul so you don’t lose ki, they will both do the same damage if you combo into a super

Also the special beast combo is awesome cause it gives all races a reliable Stam break combo. But... it don't land online which negates that it hits hard and is a good Stam combo sadly

I've always run Super Vegeta for raids and PQs but I may switch to Beast since there's no ki drain

Beast fits my character, 15k+ fighting Cell Max.
From a pvp perspective, Beast is heavily overhyped imo. the best thing about it is the new combo route, which is inconsistent online, but losing 5 bars, an awoken animation that feels like it takes years, and taking 20% extra damage is not worth it when you have Potential Unleashed which is, imo, still the best awoken in the game for pvp, and SSJG, SSB, SSBE, Future SSJ, Turn Golden, Become Giant, etc, which all give huge benefits in terms of utility or straight up damage with not nearly as many downsides, or downsides that can be mitigated/removed with super souls

I just want ssj4 for CAC and maybe ultra instinct would be cool for CAC they could just make the UI awoken just lose a lot of stamina but idk I guess beast is cool cause it’s free

That zsoul your using may be ok for ssb sure but the gogeta/majin buu sleep 1 r slightly better not only is the drain no longer there but u actually gain ki back sure very very slowly but it is there
You need to make a video about how to make Zeni fast and how to do raids. Maybe you and the other YTs can convince people to start using All Heal Items instead of single Energy S items. Hell I saw someone use an Aura item during the raid. I was like just stand still for a second and you’ll be good.

I still see mofos running poison in raids, which was told by every YT to do. So maybe, if they are like use good healing items in raids, we could get them.

Beast, also known as taking 1.35-1.55x damage from other players' attacks.
Something about the extra damage taken in beats form. Saiyans are lower in health than other races. I THINK the only one with lower health is the frieza race. But overall, saiyans fall short in terms of health. Wit that in mind the defense and stam recovery is definitely good. HOWEVER I personally think beast is better for a human or majin or namekian cuz they get more health to compensate for the extra damage received. And namekians recover at low health on their own. So yes saiyans CAN use beast, but it’s not meant to shine on a saiyan. No hate tho
Beast kinda gets outshined by Potential Unleashed if you pit the two against each other though. In this case, Beast actually gets outdamaged by Potential Unleashed by a whole 10%.
Ssbe is actually great idk why it isn’t getting talked about you can use dbs base gogeta super soul or the dbs base vegeta super soul and it’s great
Right? And even if there's a ki drain it's barely noticeable now. I personally use SSBE now more than before because of the buff, Beast is cool and all but when it comes to being a saiyan I don't see why not use SSB/E

What packs even more of a punch is anybody using an Awoken skill hitting you. Gotta be careful with Beast form, it's very much a double edged sword ;)
I've been trying out ssb and ssbe since beast is pretty bad, and with a ki Regen ss it drains very slow. You can keep it up by just fighting without spamming supers. It's a upgrade of blue if you don't play insanely passive or stand still the whole game 🤣. The only time ssb would be better is if you don't have the gogeta super soul. Beast is also unusable online since its near impossible to actually transform without getting your stamina broken.
Beast mode is SO good on my Male Majin tho
At least until your stamina goes under 20% XD

With Beast, I think female Earthlings can out perform golden Friezas. Can we get a test on this?
Depends. Is the opponent also using an Awoken skill? Are we fighting Beast Earthling vs Golden Frieza clan?
Remember: Beast basically gives a 1.2x damage multiplier to anybody fighting against it, which stacks with any damage multipliers that they might have.
Evolution vs Beast effectively has a 1.55x damage multiplier while Beast effectively has a 1.2x damage multiplier.

Normally I us the super saiyan forms and god for pvp but beast is good too for the huge attack buff, sadly u get 20% more dmg but honestly I don't mind that
That 20% debuff is worse than it sounds by the way. If your opponent is using say Potential Unleashed, they're getting +15% more damage and taking 5% less damage. That makes their total damage multiplier 1.35x and yours 1.25x.
Basically, every other awoken skill barring Kaiokenx2 and Super Saiyan 1 will outdamage Beast when fighting against it.

Considering this is the FIRST Awoken skill that actually affects all Races since like ever it truly infuriates me that it has that damage drawback.
This is something Namekians and Majin players can use and most of us are tired of bein stuck using Potential Unleashed since our Awaken skills for our races are pretty shit.
That damage taken trade off feels so unfair, especially knowing that when Gohan went Beast he took no notable extra flak when Max punched him.
You forgot to test SSB and SSB evo with meditation. LOL you recover ki with some super souls even in Evo
I can't stand the long hair with beast mode it's stupidly too long I would of preferred ultra instinct I get why they decided to give us beast mode because it goes with the hero pack 1 and 2 hopefully they give us ultra instinct we have spent alot of money the game getting all its content and a lot of hours unlocking everything and enjoying the entire game they need to reward us with instinct

idk if it just me but when i use a SS that boosts dmg for strike. beast give me a 25% boost not 30. but other than that it does

If you think of it to even make beast good you need tons of different zsouls to even make it good
1. My ki is building overflowing (counters that downside from beast and gives u a defense as long u have max ki so basically normal defense)
2. You need to be more careful (since beast is the slowest awoken in the game that it is easy to get broken but with this zsoul the moment someone breaks you you would have gotten all your stamina back and be in the form much safer)
3. Any instant max ki zsoul (again since the transformation is slow if u trasform at the start but your in a big map like arcapelico or glacier or something your opponent won't have enough time to even do much to you)
4. Now it's my turn (break easy knockback much easier and safer) etc. From there
Ssbe with super souls that reduce ki drain is literally better than normal blue u do too much damage by the time your ki is gone u already killed the opponent
Optimal Blue and Evolution setups pretty much boils down to "do you wanna go slightly faster or be slightly tankier?"
Blue + I'm warmed up =Evolution damage, no ki drain, slightly less defense than evolution, slightly less stam recovery than evolution
Evolution + Our two strengths: slight ki drain, improved stamina recovery, slightly better defense, same damage as previous Blue setup
